Rush Limbaugh should be ashamed of himself
Have you seen this? I believe in free speech, so therefore, Rush Limbaugh has every right to say what he wants about Michael J. Fox. He can question whether it was disingenuous of Fox to go off his Parkinson’s meds so that viewers of the campaign ads could see what the effects of Parkinson’s are. He can say that it was wrong of Fox to use his disease to further a political campaign. He can even suggest, ridiculous as it may be, that Fox was exaggerating his symptoms to make them seem worse than they are.
But what he can not do, in my opinion, is openly mock Michael J. Fox by imitating his Parkinson’s tremors. It is not Fox’s fault that his body moves that way. And for Limbaugh to imitate him in a mocking manner is deplorable. It’s one of those unspoken-yet-understood by-everyone rules of society that you do not make fun of a person’s disabilities. Limbaugh should apologize, publicly and in private to Michael J. Fox, and then make a large contribution to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.
Shame on you, Mr. Limbaugh. I won’t say that I hope you get Parkinson’s some day so you can see what it’s like, because I don’t. I don’t wish a debilitating disease on anyone. Well, except maybe for the scum of the earth person who did whatever it is that Amy and Tracey are writing about today. I also believe in karma, and that what comes around goes around, so I know that person will get what’s coming to them.
You, Mr. Limbaugh, will probably just get richer. And that’s also a shame.
Rush has also said that drug addicts should be thrown in jail or shot. So i guess he doesn’t mean everything he says. He really is despicable. I try my best to ignore him. But you can bet if Michael J. Fox had done the same thing for a conservative cause, Rush would have been praising him. For him, it’s all about the ratings.
Rush should be ashamed of himself, but you know he’s not. He’s a jerk and he always will be because that’s what makes him money. So wrong.

Then again, he should be ashamed of himself for so many things before this, I can’t say as I’m surprised.
It’s interesting to me that Rush can be such a diverse guy. I mean, this is a guy that wasn’t BAD as a football colour announcer - he did a good job even though his reputation as a right winger colored a lot of people’s view of him - he didn’t actually perform poorly in that role. If you didn’t know him otherwise, and had only ever seen him talking about yards gained and stats -we’d all think differently of him.
But then he goes around TALKING……and we all see that he’s just a twit.
I don’t have an issue with him expressing his opinions abou this or that - I certainly don’t have to agree.
But mocking or being derisive about someone’s illness is mean-spirited - and it’s the sort of attack I expect from someone short on intelligence, someone small minded.
Mocking someone is the lowest form of social commentary.
But like I said, I think he’s mostly a twit.
There are so many reasons to hate Rush Limbaugh. His impossible hypocricy, his drug abuse, cheating on his wife, but this one really is numero uno in my books.
The only comfort I take is that no one really takes him seriously.

Unfortunately, shitbags like Limbaugh don’t get sick and die, as much as I wish he would. They live to be old asshole men who never shut up.

He’s such a liar. Such a hypocrite. And somehow millions still believe everything he says.
I think some people are attracted to his air of certainty - he never backs down, never thinks twice, just spews his stupidity over and over until people start to believe it, because HE seems like he believes it.
College dropout. Claims to be a big patriot and talks a big lot about folks who don’t agree with the war, but he ducked Vietnam by claiming an old football injury and a butt cyst that he’d had for awhile.
Married a “million” times, but speaks out against legal unions for gays because it might DEVALUE THE SANCTITY OF MARRIAGE. He’s a fat pig himself, but enjoys ridiculing women who look less than perfect. Published a picture of Chelsea Clinton out with the caption “White House Dog”…when she was but 13 years old. Ridicules drug addicts and suggests extreme prison sentences for such scum…meanwhile he’s sending his illegal alien housekeeper to several doctors to obtain prescriptions for Oxycontin….enough to put a buffalo to sleep. Blames his addiction on the emotional pain he claims to suffer from. Says what he wants whether it’s true or not, but criticizes the Democrats for being untruthful. Takes no responsibility for the things he says on the air and rarely–if ever–apologizes for them.
If the sight of Fox shaking makes people feel uncofortable…so uncomfortable that it inspires people to go out and FUCKING VOTE FOR SOMEONE WHO ISN’T HOSTILE TO SCIENCE AND WILL ACTUALLY STOP BLOCKING POSSIBLE CURES FOR PARKINSONS, ETC…then I’m for it. How could it possibly be faked any worse than the real thing. Even on meds, he still moves constantly. Off meds would be nearly impossible.
Limbaugh should be flogged…and then someone needs to sew his fucking mouth completely shut.

I missed this news event while away (my mother is a QVC and HSN addict). But, I did watch both the interview with Michael Fox and Limbaugh’s disgusting statements.
I’ve always intensely disliked Limbaugh. But never to the point where I formally protested. I hope he gets fired. But, realistically speaking, it’s a free country and he can say what he wants. The only real way to protest is for him to lose his listeners and sponsors. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
I hate Rush Limbaugh too.
