Edited to add: The original post showed full-size thumbnails of each of the 2000 Bloggers, however, it was causing painfully slow loading times and in some cases, the blog wasn’t loading at all. I want people to be able to actually read my blog so I switched to a smaller view of the thumbnail. What I would really like is for the link to go to the full-size photos on the 2000 Blogger site, but I can’t figure out the HTML. Anyone?
Edited again to add: My god, this post is turning into quite the trainwreck. The full-size thumbnails are no longer available because of problems with Technorati, so all I’ve got is the little photo you see now, and there’s no point in playing “spot the blogger” unless you have a really strong magnifying glass. I’d still like someone to teach me the HTML for making a photo (or a sidebar button) link back to the person’s blog.
After reading about it on Troll-Baby, I joined the 2000 Bloggers project, brainchild of Tino Buntic. I don’t pay attention to Technorati rankings, but I know I’m getting linked to almost every day by someone putting the code on their site, and I even got mentioned specifically by Steve at Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Blogosphere and he didn’t slam my site or anything. Thanks again, Steve. (My Technorati ranking is 21, 049-is that good?)
I’ve been having fun playing spot-the-blogger in the thumnbnails. Right there in the top row next to Tino Buntic is Heather Armstrong, and the One Red Paper Clip guy, then a few rows down from that is Rosie O’Donnell and Donald Trump (I LOVE that they are next to each other-Ha!), I also found Margaret Cho, Karen from Troll Baby, and of course, me. Who do you spot?
Edited to add: I spy Julie (MotherGooseMouse)!

Thanks for posting the 2000 bloggers and including Flooring The Consumer. Doesn’t this do a great job capturing what a diverse group we are?
I spot myself and it is real scary- hehe. Thanks for including this on your blog.
Dang … I missed your birthday! Happy belated birthday. 40, huh? Well, you don’t look a day over 32. Seriously.
Aww, thanks JJ!
Of course you are in fine company! 2000 is a good group to be in. And for the record, it is only a select group that the Hitchhiker Team writes about because we don’t believe in slamming anyone. There are enough blogs out there in the “long tail” that we should be able to find good ones to write about.
Thanks for the mention, Elizabeth!
To be fair, I guess you could expect 2000 Thank Yous in your comment box. Here’s mine. I’m five rows up from the bottom at present, against a stone wall, big smile. I’ve already seen evidence of your inbound link in my daily WordPress stats. I don’t know what it will do to my Technorati rating, but I guess I’ll check. I’ve only been blogging since September, but it’s currently 49, 502, whatever that means. Anyway, thanks for another link. I know they’re supposed to be useful!
Guess I should identify myself: davidbdale of Very Short Novels. 299 words each. Anything more is waste.
I saw this before, when I first started blogging and never joined. I’m such a loser. -hehehe-
i dont’ even know what it is?!?!! never heard of it.
Wow,what a cool thing!
This is cool…I have to go sign up.

OK so that didn’t work. I’ll email it to you.
I’m among the 2000 Bloggers somewhere. An awesome project it is.
Greeting from Malaysia.
I’m a 2000 Blogger and What I don’t get is this emphasis on the Technorati ranking system in the first place.
