Due to technical difficulties, the administrator of this site will be unable to do any blogging, commenting or emailing until further notice. Nor will she be able to log in to Second Life as her new character “Duchess Decosta” and hang out with Queen Tureaud, Duchess Voom, and Gidge Uriza. They will have to hoverboard at the Castle without her.
And by technical difficulties, we mean a certain 15 month old girl spilled a third of a can of Sprite Zero directly onto the laptop keyboard used in the above-mentioned activities.
PC Support (also known as “Daddy”) has been contacted, and will be undertaking emergency repairs as soon as possible (which will be after dinner at the earliest).
The following sites are also affected by the spill:
ElizabethT45.minti.com
Maya’s Mom
Sparkpeople
True Diet Confessions
Vox
The administrator apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause you. She is currently serving a Time Out for breaking the Cardinal Rule of Computer Use: never leave an open container of liquids near a computer, DUMBASS.
Thank you.
Edited to add: Well, my husband took the laptop apart last night, and it is good and fried, because it was on when the pop got spilled. Fortunately, because he works in PC Support, he can call Dell and have them pick up the laptop, they will theoretically fix it, and I will have it back in a week. In the meantime, I’m using my kids’ Desktop PC, and Chris has another laptop I should be able to use. However, since my house is filthy and piled to the ceiling with all manner of junk we don’t need, I plan to take some time to work on de-cluttering anyway. I’ll try to make my bloglines rounds when I can. Meanwhile, feel free to browse my archives or Flickr photos or whatever. See ya!

Hello and welcome to Table for Five! I'm Elizabeth, and this blog started in September 2005 as a way for me to participate in the Mommy Blogging community. I'm married with three terrific kids-boys ages 11 and 9 and a 2 year old daughter. Things I love include my family, coffee, Diet Coke, TV, reading, and Target.
Please contact me at table4five AT gmail DOT com if you would like to discuss anything I've posted here, place a text or button ad, send me a product to review, or provide a guest post. Thank you for stopping by!
Just wondering, since I am a childless person - why can’t you control your daughter? Bwaaaaahaaaahaaaaaa. (I’m sorry, I could not resist. And I’m also sorry about your keyboard.)
Oh, that stinks! (as I push away my open glass of water which was two inches from my keyboard as my son flails in my lap). Hope you are up and running again soon. At least Sprite Zero won’t make anything inside your keyboard swell up.
I hate it when i have to give myself a time out.
In our house we call this “The Pepsi Syndrome” after an old Sat. Night Live sketch.
Ouch…not good!
I hope your “PC Support” gets you back up and running soon!
My little menaces like to pick the keys off my laptop keyboard. Daddy is also our techie nerd support guy.
I feel for ya’ - although, I blew up MY blog this week…all…by…myself…I did!
Hehehe!! Hey, where can I get me one of those administrators? I haven’t needed one for spills, but they might come in handy when my brain is too fried to come up with anything to blog about.
Glad to hear that the damage wasn’t too severe.
Best of luck decluttering and cleaning with kidlets underfoot.
I’ve since given up, and am planning this years garden instead of vacuuming.
Yeah, the Sprite/computer combination stinks, but I love what you did with it. Your creative blog entry, I mean! You made me smile. Thanks!
Glad you’re back and glad that the computer will be fixed quickly.
Gabe spit up on Josh’s computer and fried some of the keys too.
