I’ve stopped cleaning my house, because 1. I HATE cleaning the house and 2. it just gets messy again anyway and 3. it takes away from my precious “me” time a/k/a my blogging time. I have told my husband that I have to go on as if nothing is wrong, because as far as I know, nothing is. I’ll have the ultrasound tomorrow, and then hopefully I’ll at least know something.
In the meantime, I’ve taken a writing opportunity from PayPerPost that is about a topic that makes me VERY HAPPY these days-how much money I am making with PayPerPost, and what I plan to spend it on.
PayPerPost works like this-each writing opportunity is worth a certain dollar amount if all the requirements are met. Once I write and publish a post, it gets reviewed by someone working for PPP, and if the post is approved, I receive the payment 30 days from the date the post was published. What’s even better is, if the post isn’t approved, I get a reason why, and I have three days to fix whatever requirement I missed and resubmit the post.
SO. I have written nine posts. Two have been approved, which means I have $20.50 coming next month. Assuming the rest of my posts also get approved, I’ll get paid $57.50 for those. But meanwhile, I can take as many as three writing opportunities a DAY, as long as I post something non-sponsored in between, so the backlog of money I am owed just keeps piling up!
What am I planning to do with the money I earn?
Oh, YEAH, baby! That’s right, I’m coming to Chicago this summer! And even though my husband set enough money aside from our tax returns to cover the hotel and conference fees, I want to earn as much as I can towards other expenses, like new clothes, or sightseeing with friends once we are there, maybe some shopping.
I’m having a lot of fun writing for PayPerPost. There is a whole community of people who are enthusiastic, helpful, and supportive. I can post a question on the PPP forum at almost any time of the night or day and get an almost immediate response from someone. I’ve asked a LOT of really dumb questions, believe me, and everyone who has answered them has been nothing but positive.
So even though I haven’t actually been paid yet, I’m going to keep taking the writing opportunities, and amassing what I hope is a pretty nice chunk of money to help finance my BlogHer Blowout this summer. You can start making money yourself too, if you click on the affiliate badge in my sidebar. You can submit any of your blogs that are at least 90 days old and have at least 20 posts, not all in the same month. Have some fun, make some money! And then get your butt to BlogHer this summer and give me a big ole’ hug when you get there!

That’s awesome! I’m glad it’s working out for you!
Wahoo! I will definitely see you in Chicago!
Sending some “good vibes” and some peaceful thoughts out your way. Remember, The Power of Positive Thinking….You know, “I think I can” that kind of thing.
For gosh sakes woman, stop the cleaning and go take yourself a much needed break!
Still can’t figure out why the writing button hasn’t shown up yet. It sounds like I’m still being considered.
It feels good doesn’t it. I can remember the first time they put in money into my paypal account. I was jumping with joy and it was only $5. Now, I am a full time postie.
