You know about Technorati, right? It is a blog search engine that indexes millions of blogs, and makes it easier to find the ones that you want to remember to read. For example, from the Technorati home page, once you have registered, you can add my blog to your Technorati Favorites by clicking this add to favorites link. The next screen will ask you to add a tag (such as “blogger”, or “friend”, or “pain in my ass”, however you want to think of me:), and then-THIS IS IMPORTANT-it will say “Tableforfive has been added to your Favorites”, and you need to click OKAY. See? Now the next time you log in to Technorati, you will see a summary of my most recent posts.
Over at PayPerPost, we are compiling a huge list of people who are all adding each other to their Technorati Favorites. I found the list of rules at JMH Techtronics. You can read more about it at Dosh Dosh’s Ultimate Technorati Favorites Exchange: An Interactive Experiment. Want to join in? Here are the rules:
1) Write a short introduction paragraph about how you found the list and include a link to the blog that referred you to the list–that would be me! You can also just leave me a comment with your URL and I will add you to my Technorati Faves.
2) COPY the Rules and ENTIRE List below and post it to your blog. To avoid duplicate content and increase the amount of keywords your site can accessible for, go ahead and change the titles of your blog. Just don’t change the links of the blog.
3) Take all of the “My New Faves†from the blog that linked you and add them to the “Original Faves†list.
4) Add up to 5 more faves to your “My New Faves†List along with a link to fave them. (You can just copy and replace a url from the other ones so you have the link and don’t have to hunt down the blogs on Technorati.)
