Edited to add: I’m featured on Mommybloggers today! Squeeeee! Click here to read all the nice things they said about me, then come back and read
I have had a sore throat for THREE days now. It’s just sore enough to be annoying, and then at least once a day it swells up even worse so that I have to make a conscious decision every time I swallow. I’ve been living on coffee and buttered toast, because those are the only things that don’t hurt going down. I’ve had strep throat before, and that hurts a LOT worse, and all the time, so I don’t think it’s that, I think it’s allergies or some kind of cold. But it is a literal PAIN.
I had big plans for today. I was going to…get THIS…STAY OFF THE COMPUTER AND CLEAN MY HOUSE INSTEAD!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Whew!
Okay, quit laughing. Seriously. That means you too.
But really, I was going to take a break from blog networking today. I was going to take a pass through each room in the house, at least picking things up off the floors and maybe throw in a few loads of laundry. I was going to sort through all the piles of papers and stuff, and put together a few bags for the Salvation Army store.
And then, since it is going to be Sixty degrees today, I was going to pack up Kaitlyn and take her to the park to play on the slide. And see if I can get her on one of those baby swings. Instead, I am just going to sit here, quietly, and be thankful that Kaitlyn doesn’t mind playing by herself. Don’t worry, she is perfectly safe:
Ow.

That is a very cool pic. I have one of myself from way back chomping on some cardboard…kids are funny that way.
She is such a little doll! Feel better soon! (And, I just read all the nice things people had to say about you on MommyBloggers; you rock, Elizabeth!). Could this post have more exclamation points? No.
I think the Mr. and I have that same sore throat. He called the dr. and they said the could get him in in 3 WEEKS! By that time we figure he will either be better or dead. Hope you feel better soon. What a cutie!
I hope it’s not the crap I have. I’ve been sick for over a week and a half, and it started with a sore throat for a few days, then a headache, then runny nose, runny eyes, and now I’m just a mess who’s running on 3.5 hours of sleep because the kids have it and the hubby slept through all the nighttime screaming. I *really* hope you don’t have this crap.
Love that picture! So freakin’ cute! And I am so jealous of those curls. I always wanted curls like those while growing up (despite a poodle-like perm in 8th grade).
Oh, hon, it sounds like you have a bit of what I have. I hope you don’t get the rest of it.
(and the picture? Cuuuute.)
I have big plans to clean the house, but the computer just sits there, smiling it’s knowing smile. I can’t resist. More blogs, untidy house. Oh well.
Get well!
Arrived here from MyBlogLog and what a great photo! I look at it and wish that my children were young again. Such happy days. Oh, and hope you feel well soon.
Mike.
Sorry to hear about the sore throat of doom. And you know, clean houses are really overrated. It’s like making the bed. You’re just going to mess it up again anyways, so by not cleaning the house, you’re just saving energy.
As long as you aren’t posting pics of your kid playing with a plastic bag I think boxes are a great toy…lol
This is just a test, won’t see it again.

Trying to figure out if we have to drop a link to get a link, or it pulls from our name

Hope you get better! I had strep once and it didn’t hurt at all, so you may still want to have it checked out!
Cute pic! Headed off to check you out at mommybloggers now!
I want her hair!
Hope you feel better soon and congrats on the mommybloggers interview. Cool! You deserve it.
Are you spreading the sore throat through your posts? My throat is burning and I just feel achey and yucky. I was going to start my new exercise ball workout…oh darn. Did I say that with enough disappointment?
3 of my 4 kiddies were born with those bright blue eyes, but only one kept them.
Such a cute picture!
Two of my kdis are staying home sick today, so I think something is going around for sure! Hope you feel better soon!
I’m off to check out the Mommyblogger site. Will I get to hear you talk?
congrats on the mommy bloggers!
hope the sore throat goes away soon.
I’ve got my maids (er, i mean kids) cleaning today. I need to wash dishes since our dishwasher broke. joy.
Hope you feel better soon! Don’t you hate when you have to sit at the computer and play all day? Darn those germs.
Congrats on the feature! It is truly wonderful!
I am STILL laughing about what you think we’d be shocked to know about you – per your interview with Mommybloggers! I seriously laughed VERY loudly when I read it and my husband wanted to know why…I didn’t tell him. *wink*
Regarding the guest drop-in thing, I like this saying a friend once shared with me. “If you’re coming to see me, stop in anytime. If you’re coming to see my house, please call ahead.” Yeah, that’s what I think, too!

Congrats on the Mommy Bloggers interview! Uh, glad to know I’m not the only one who thinks about blogging a lot.
I have many days where I am determined to be productive around the house but then end up being productive on my laptop. Hey, productivity is productivity.
I was diagnosed with strep throat Tuesday and my 2-year-old has been sick all week, too. Not fun! I hope you feel better soon.
