Well, since my last post I have cleaned off the top of our dining room sideboard, which is where I tend to deposit miscellaneous stuff that I don’t feel like dealing with. It went from this:
To this:
Not bad, huh? I’ve also been attacking the little bits of who-knows-what stuck to our burgundy carpet by first scrubbing sticky spots with water and a drop of PineSol, letting it dry, and then using the hose and upholstery attachment on my vacuum to VACUUM THE FLOOR BY HAND. On my hands and knees. Because that is the only way to ensure that it actually comes off. We took a break and drove down to our local convenience store/dairy for Fountain diet Coke (me), Frozen Coke (Chris), and ice cream cones (the boys). Now Chris is outside trying to pick up all the dog poop so he can mow the back yard, and I’ve got to publish this so I can write a post for PayPerPost. This day is just flying along!

WOW. is that the same house?

Ha ha Brian, VERY funny
Looks nice! I have a whole room in which I store things that I don’t feel like dealing with, or don’t know what to do with. My husband teases me about it non stop.
Looks great, Elizabeth! Keep up the good work! It feels so good to get that stuff cleaned up.
I’ll check back tomorrow to see how you’re doing.
It looks wonderful! I’ve been working my butt off too, but no one wants to see pictures of a bathroom and laundry room lol
Well I’d rather be posting that than picking up dog poo. I think he drew the short straw…
Nicely done! Personally, I’ve managed only a few loads of laundry, the “essentials” (toilet & litter box), and a quick mop of the kitchen. Getting down to it, though!
Nice job! I always feel so good when my house is clean. Although, my family can re-destroy it in just seconds. Enjoy!

Cynthia, for me that room is the whole basement. It’s the only place I can pile things as high as I want without getting into trouble

Thanks, Erin! Tomorrow I’m working on the kids’ playroom and their bedroom, which are even bigger jobs than the dining room was. See you tomorrow!

Doodaddy-Those are major accomplishments! I have to scoop the kitty litter box because my husband refuses to do it, and I hate it SO MUCH.

FastLane-Yeah, it was a major chore to keep Kaitlyn from messing up all my nicely straightened end tables today!

Lookin’ good E!
I dump stuff in the dining room too (or on the end of the kitchen table that we don’t use or on the breakfast bar — which really should be called the junk accumulation bar because that’s what it is….)
