I just want to thank everyone for playing along this weekend-I’m thinking this is going to be a regular thing here! You’re asking me great questions, getting me to tell you my secrets-what better reason to read blogs on the weekend?? I have an update for you on Operation Get-My-Butt-To-BlogHer ‘07:

Total Needed for Registration, Hotel, and Train Tickets: $493.68

Balance in PayPal: $145.14

Writing Job #1: $40.00

BlogHer ads check: $45.00

Writing Job #2: $26.00

Expected payments from writing job #3: $160.47

Writing job#4: $35.00

TOTAL NEEDED: $42.07 !!! FORTY TWO DOLLARS!!

Wow, I am almost there already! The way PayPerPost pays out is that you get your payment 30 days from the date you wrote the post, so while I’m counting those payments, the last post I did for them was on April 28, so I don’t get that payment until May 28. Hopefully, all the spots for the BlogHer conference won’t be taken by then!

And finally, I hit the motherload of baby photos while looking in a set of albums my Dad has had on his bookshelf for as long as I can remember. Just look what I found:

Me at 20 months old. Look at those skinny little legs! My Mother sewed this bedspread and the curtains thinking it would be “cute” for a kid’s room. It was a JUNGLE pattern. There were LIONS on my bedspread and curtains, and I was TERRIFIED of them!

And here’s my first Halloween costume, this would be October, 1968. My Mom sewed this herself. I look happy! And check out my handsome Daddy, smoking his pipe. I remember I loved the smell of the pipe tobacco.

I’ve got about a dozen more, what I’m going to do is upload them all to Flickr, then I’ll post the link so you can see them all. Upcoming posts include why you should check out JohnChow.com, the story of how I went on a road trip and ended up in an ambulance, and the story I promised you of how my parents spent almost eight years trying to break Chris and I up. And I’ll keep answering your questions, too! It’s really late (or early, depending on how you look at it) and I’m really tired, so I’m just going to end by saying, most sincerely, I love my readers, I really do :)
