When I went to BlogHer last summer, I didn’t really put any thought at all into what suitcase I was going to take. My parents had bought us a set for our honeymoon, 14 years ago, and I figured that would suffice. Turns out, I had the exact same luggage as EVERYONE ELSE going to and from California that week. Watching the bags come spinning around on the carousel, it was almost impossible to tell my black rolling suitcase from everyone else’s. This year, I’m not making that mistake. I’m using the an online discount luggage site to buy a good quality, NOT BLACK piece of Samsonite luggage, preferably in a nice bright red.

I think I will be using, once again, my $22 suitcase that I bought from a street vendor in Mexico. So far, so good. It has some fake brand name like “SuperSporty 2000″ on it.

I am cracking up at “SuperSporty 2000″ for some reason. But hey, whatever works!
Sticking with quality luggage is definitely the way to go. I bought my last luggage set 5 years ago and haven’t had to repair or replace any of them (knock on wood!).
Cheers!

I’ve still got my Samsonite Luggage from 20+ years ago. While price is attractive upfront, you can’t beat quality.
