They're not so bad. Except when the kid trips and falls in the puddle, getting completely soaked. Or when they go out in a brand-new pair of shoes and get them dirty and soaked. That's great! I don't know what it is, but kids just have puddle radars. Usually I'm trying to keep the 3.5yo out of them because they're in parking lots in stop number one of four stops in the string of errands and I don't want a muddy car and fussy/wet kid... But yesterday I had him help me wash the car, and he had such a good time he wants to wash it again today. ;) Didn't hurt that we have weird concrete in our driveway that makes awesome puddles (that I told him to go to town on for a change!) and I let him be in charge of the sprayer...
