I picked out my outfit for my BlogHer session!

Author: Elizabeth

Woo hoo! I cannot thank my Maya’s Mom friend Jazz enough for all of her help, support and encouragement in this scary process known as picking out clothes for BlogHer. Jazz is a personal shopper! This is what we worked out for me to wear for the BlogHer session at which I’m speaking-

A navy blue t-shirt dress from Land’s End. Instead of the scarf I’m going to look for a chunky necklace:

And these ballet flats from Payless:

So, what do you think??? Oh, I bought these ones today to wear with a pair of khaki jeans, they are called “peep toe skimmers”:

I do believe I am becoming addicted to shoe shopping!!!

Trish-Oh, absolutely! I’ll post photos here once I get the outfit, and then there will be tons of photos on Flickr once we get back. I’m just happy that I found a dress that looks comfortable!

    What a nice blog!

I have the same exact pair of the peep toe skimmers. Aren’t they adorable? I get a lot of compliments when I wear them. Your other pair are adorable as well!

Jackie- Thanks! My husband made me so mad, when I showed him the skimmers I said “do you like my new shoes?” and he just sort of shrugged his shoulders! Doesn’t he know you should ALWAYS compliment a woman on her shoes?? LOL

Love the dress and the shoes! The dress is pretty, but looks very comfortable!

Are the dresses available at Sears or do you have to go through Lands End to get them?

Mr Fab- Yes, I’m afraid that’s the price you will occasionally pay for reading a blog written by a woman. You will be subjected to infrequent posts about shoes and makeup.

I’d say it’s a fair trade for the language I get subjected to on your blog- you wrote a post about the BIBLE and managed to use the word c**k HOW many times? Not that I wasn’t laughing so hard that I had to wipe the tears out of my eyes. “Duderonomy”-ha!

In the most I’m-married-and-so-are-you-way possible, I love you, Mr. Fab.

Mimi- Aren’t they cute? I have decided that I am not going to look like everyone else, and that is just fine. I’m going to wear what I like whether it is “trendy” or not. Starting with that dress and shoes!

I forgot about checking with Sears, and we have one in Lansing. I’ll call and see if they carry the dress-thanks so much for reminding me!

When is BlogHer? I heard it is in Chicago (where I live!!!). If I am around, maybe I’ll make a trip downtown and see if I can meet some of my fellow posties!

Lisa- OMG, would you??? Squeeee! It starts Friday July 27th and ends that Sunday. The only time I absolutely would not be available is for a few hours Saturday morning when I am working at a session. But otherwise, I would LOVE to meet you! And you ARE a blogger, after all. You could even register just to come to one of the cocktail parties, and if you brought the baby, everyone would fuss all over him! I’ll email you my cell phone number so you can keep in touch. :)

I LOVE those shoes! I may need to buy some now!

Tori- Which? The blue ones or the brown ones? I have to say, the blue ones are not as comfortable as they look. The insole is really thin, so I may have to put one of those gel insole things in them. But they look cute!

hehe, I’d be a shoe girl if my feet weren’t so big. :(

Homemom3- I’m pretty sure Payless goes up to size 10 or 11 at least, how big are your feet?? :)

Kathryn-if I had $44.00, I would SO buy the “Spring Green” necklace, at the bottom of this page-

It would look so cool with that navy blue t-shirt dress! But it’s a little out of my price range :)

Thanks so much for clicking through to my site from BlogHer! I assume that means you will be at the conference? There will be a ton of people there but I hope we run into each other!

Gurl, if you wore a burlap bag with combat boots, you’d still be a hit.

BlogHer proves its savvy in having you speak. We’re going to have a great confab, aren’t we?

    Looking forward to toasting you.
