If you are looking at getting this breed, remember that terriers by nature are very hyper and Buddy is going a hundred miles an hour all the time. He is a lot of fun, but I find him a handful at times. I have two other dogs, a miniature schnauzer and a mixed breed chow/german shepard. Daisy got cancer in one of her eyes and had to have it removed. It was from the sun, mellinoma. I've had two Bostons . . . they are the best little dogs!!! The only drawback I've had is their penchant for chewing ~ EVERYTHING. Especially as puppies, those powerful jaws go to work and bye bye sofa. Luckily, they are very easily trained and crated. Should that day arrive when you're ready for one, you won't regret it! Gasp!
