Weekly Wrap-Up

Author: Elizabeth

Since I update this blog so frequently, those of you who don’t subscribe to my feed might be missing posts from earlier in the week. And here’s a not-so-subtle hint: On my right sidebar, under the orange RSS button? Is a fabulous button called AddThis. Click it and you’ll go to a whole page of feed reader options so you can subscribe to my feed in whatever reader you prefer. Because having people subscribe to my feed makes me very, very happy.

So, what might you have missed this week? Plenty! Here are some of my favorite posts from this last week, and these are NOT PAID POSTS, even if they have a link in them, I PROMISE:

July 6th-My friend Carmen from Mom To the Screaming Masses gave me the Rockin’ Girl Blogger award, and I awarded it to five more people. The award she gave me is pink, but I found this one on ‘Twas Brillig, and I like it so much, so I grabbed it. Rosie the Riveter ROCKS!
Rockin

July 8th- I wrote a Haiku for Kaitlyn, illustrated with photos of her running.

July 9th- I posted a photo of Kaitlyn wearing a crown of leaves, looking like a Greek Goddess.

July 11th- I wrote about the wonderful day that we spent with Mimi from The Things We Do.

July 11th again- Later that day, I realized how close it was to BlogHer and I wrote about how freaked out I felt, and I received wonderful responses from readers in the comments.

July 12th- I posted a special offer from Good Times Media for a new workout from The FIRM, called The Total TransFIRMation. This is not a paid post, although I am an affiliate for Good Times Media, so if you click the video or the badge in my sidebar and order the system, I do make a small commission on the sale. But I wouldn’t have embedded the video or put the badge on my sidebar if I didn’t think it was a great product! Once we get over our money crunch, I plan on ordering the system myself.

July 13th- A bad day for me. A wave of panic washed over me when I discovered that there was only $24.00 in our checking account and it was five days until payday. I realized how much work I still needed to do before BlogHer, and I felt like the walls were closing in. After I published the post, I began getting wonderful comments and emails from readers and friends, and it helped me so, so much. Thank you again, everyone.

July 14th- I wrote this post to reassure everyone that I was feeling better, with some really nice photos of Kaitlyn taken at Barnes & Noble.

So, that is what you might have missed. I’m going offline for a few hours so I can get our house clean, we are babysitting for a baby and a toddler later today while their parents go to the Imax theater to see Harry Potter. And PayU2Blog sent me eight link assignments, so I have to get cracking on those as well! I’ll be back online later this evening replying to comments and emails, so have a great day everybody! Here’s a photo of the boys taken at the company picnic we went to yesterday:

The airbrushed tattoo on Ryan’s arm is supposedly the symbol for peace. He went back later and got another one on the other arm that is the symbol for happiness. Such a little hippie.

I think the AddThis button is great as well, and have it at the bottom of every post.

Obviously I’m new here, but I think that you might be my favorite person in all of Bloglandia. I happily subscribed to your feed and favorited you on my technorati. I’m in absolute awe of you and your site!!!!

That version of the Rockin’ Girl Blogger award was apparently made by Oh the Joys–who I don’t know, but it looks like you do since she’s in your sidebar!

Wow. You’ve had quite a week.

Great picture…but what on Earth is that tattooed on his arm?!?!?!?!?

  4. table4five says:

Graham- I put the Bookmark this button on the bottom of every post, but no one has bookmarked anything yet. Something to strive for…

Brillig- Well, the admiration is mutual! I have a Liberal Arts degree in English Literature, so anyone who uses Jabberwocky to name their blog is someone I want to get to know better :)

  6. table4five says:

RWA- Yes, indeedy, I have. I’ll add a caption to the photo, but at the picnic, there was a person doing airbrushed stencil tattoos, and Ryan got two- the red one you see in the photo is the symbol for “peace”, and then he went back later and got another one in black that is the symbol for “happiness”. He’s very zen, my son.
