I cannot save money. Can NOT do it. I have savings accounts and Christmas club accounts at two different credit unions and one bank, and there is nothing more than the required $5.00 deposit in each of them. I keep opening new bank accounts thinking that it will be easy to just put a little money in each of them every payday, but it never happens.
My kids each have their own savings accounts, and I feel terrible that I can’t even set aside a little money for them. Right now, not only do we live paycheck to paycheck, we live paycheck to everypaycheckmyhusbandwillbringhomethisyear. And now that I earn my own money blogging, I’ve had to open separate business bank accounts, one with PayPal and then one at the bank so that I can keep my money separate from our money for bills. And I still spend every penny I earn! I’m hopeless.

I hear ya! It’s only recently that we’ve had any kind of savings account that amounted to anything. The only thing that helped me was just having my savings automatically deposited from my checking account once a month.
I just found your blog at Blog Catalog a few days ago, and I’m really enjoying it. Keep up the good work!

BTDT. Have you read anything by Dave Ramsey yet? I swear I’m going to bug you until you do.

Lanna- I should read Dave Ramsey, I know! Have you mailed me that (ahem) foundation garment yet? If not, could I borrow your Dave Ramsey book? Otherwise you are going to have to bug me forever!
I’m in the same position as you. Money just keeps going out! Gotta cutback on the sushi :p

Ben- ha! My husband and I took a look at all of our bills to see what we could cut back on, and we decided we’d rather cancel our landline than cut back at all on our Internet or Digital Cable. Shows where our priorities lie
