My husband’s Grandpa Gephart collected pocket watches. Some look like the kind a man would have actually pulled out of his pocket back when men still did that, the same kind of men who always had a clean white handkerchief, used pipe tobacco, and wore hats. There are two watches that hang from stands, encased in a dome of clear glass. They are pretty to look at but they stay safely in the curio cabinet, as do all of the watches.

The only problem with owning pocket watches is, you have to have special watch tools to fix them. My husband is a big fixer-he likes to tinker with things, see how they work. Pocket watches have tiny pivots for the gears to turn on, and it takes special tweezers to straighten them. Plus, teeny tiny screws need teeny tiny screwdrivers. You can buy special knives to pop off the backs of the watches, and for removing the watch hands, it is essential to have-you guessed it, a watch hand remover.

WatchTool is part blog, part online store. You can read articles about watch repair, and then click the links to buy the tools. The online store is quite comprehensive, listing dozens of different tools for sale, and there is a nifty dropdown menu on the right sidebar that shows the prices in different currencies. They offer worldwide delivery, and will refund or exchange items that appear faulty or damaged upon arrival. Payment methods include major credit cards and PayPal.

I just want to point out one tiny mistake-at the top of the store page, underneath the title of the blog? The word “Distributor” is misspelled as “Distrubitor”. I’m sure it was just a typo, but please fix it!
