Have you ever wanted to learn Salsa dancing? Thousands of people have already signed up through SalsaCrazy.com for Salsa BootCamp, a unique online program that provides step-by-step instruction for everyone from absolute beginners to advanced dancers. Memberships are available for one-, three-, and twelve-month terms, and each includes 3 free DVDs for additional dance step practice at home.
I’m not a dancer nor am I that familiar with Salsa dancing, so I read some of the Press releases on the site. There seems to be some disagreement as to the origins of the term Salsa being used to describe dances, and there are many styles of dance that fall under the “Salsa” category. The online dance school offered by SalsaCrazy covers Salsa, Merengue & Bachata Dance Bootcamp, teaching the steps to each dance one by one, with access to a private, members-only area. What’s in the members-only area?
- videos of Salsa Dance Moves that break down the steps and demonstrate them
- reviews of clubs all over the world, and where to find the best dance teachers
- downloadable eBooks
- new videos every week, with instruction for absolute Beginners,Intermediate, and Advanced dancers
- a section just for Ladies dance styling, including spins, arms, and footwork
- and, as if all of that wasn’t awesome enough, a DATING section for meeting men or women interested in dancing!
Really though, what makes this site exciting and such a great resource for learning Salsa dancing is the extensive video section. Some people are too shy to go to a dance studio and learn in front of others-this site lets dancers learn at home before showing off their moves to the public. I had no idea that the world of dance had such extensive community, that dances were different depending on whether they were being done in San Fransisco or New York, and that there would be such a huge online presence for so many kinds of dance. If I wasn’t so uncoordinated, I might consider joining the site and learning how to Dance with Salsa Dancing BootCamp!

That sounds super. I am no dancer, though. I’ve never been able to. Great that you can meet people there as well!

Graham-Oh, me neither. I have two left feet! Even at our wedding, Chris and I just stood in one spot and rotated around, because we don’t really know how to dance
