Who rocks? They rock!

I apologize to anyone who tried to read my blog today, my hosting company got hit with a MySQL attack and a whole bunch of blogs have been having problems for the last few days, including mine. Sometimes I would log in and see nothing but my header-yikes! But I’m back up and running now, and I have a few exciting things to tell you.

The first is that I am participating in a campaign with Parent Bloggers Network to promote a great site called Vocalpoint. Vocalpoint is an exciting new marketing concept from Proctor & Gamble that helps companies develop the kinds of products that Moms are interested in using. When you become a Vocalpoint member, you get access to inside information about new products, discounts, and even free samples, sent to you online and to your home. I received a free sample of the Tide-to-Go stain removal pen, and some fabric to stain and then clean with the pen, and then I went back to the site and left my information and a brief statement about my results. It feels great to know that companies really want to know what I think about their products! You can join Vocalpoint by clicking the badge in my sidebar, it’s easy, it’s fun, and I get a little credit for referring you :) So clickety click, people!

Secondly, I got a comment today, from the lovely Polliwog, telling me that she has given me an award! A new award, even, one of two created by Bob of Bobbarama and designed by Mike of Ordinary Folk. It’s called the Breakout Blogger award, and it “casts a spotlight on bloggers who are just beginning to draw lotsa attention — the equivalent of a song with a bullet on Billboard’s Top 100 chart. Lotsa good posts. Lotsa good buzz. These bloggers are going places in a hurry.” Well GOSH, Paula, thank you!

And now, I get to award the Breakout Blogger to some deserving people. In fact, I’m going to give them all TWO awards, because that’s just how generous I feel today. Their first award is the Breakout Blogger, which looks like this:

Each person I give this award to needs to go to Bobbarama’s site and grab the badge code. Don’t grab it from me, because the button links to the awards page and the blogroll of recipients. So GO HERE to get the badge code, please.

The second award you are each getting is my very own “Elizabeth thinks I ROCK” award. I know on some sidebars it is kind of big, so if you need to upload it to photoshop or photobucket and resize it to fit your site, it won’t hurt my feelings, I promise. Just right-click on the graphic and save it to your computer first :) It looks like this:

And now, for my recipients:

1. Paula at Polliwog’s Pond gets the Elizabeth thinks I ROCK award, because giving me an award? That ROCKS.

2.Kate from I Think, Therefore I Blog, and Electric Venom, and Queen of Snark, and Chubby Mommy gets both awards-Kate is the very definition of “lotsa good posts, lotsa good buzz”! If you aren’t reading at least one of her blogs, you are missing out. You ROCK, Kate!

3. Sara from Suburban Oblivion is definitely a Breakout Blogger! And, she’s creating “lotsa buzz” over at cre8buzz.com :) AND, she definitely rocks for taking on Bill Maher and his asshat comments about breastfeeding Mothers, and getting the Mommybloggers talking about it.Bill, you do NOT want to piss off Sara and the rest of the gang, trust me. So Sara? You get both awards!

I’ll probably keep adding to this list, because there are so many bloggers who deserve all the recognition they can get. And so many more of you who ROCK. So stay tuned!

Subconscious-Did they at least tell you it was happening ahead of time? I know that BlueHost has who knows how many thousands of blogs that they host, but couldn’t they send out some kind of quick email that says “we got hit with an attack, we apologize if your blog is down, we’re working on it”, or something? I didn’t even know what was happening until I logged into Live Chat to ask. Hmmph.

  3. Most of the great sites get attacked after popularity
