Let’s assume it’s someplace where you get a good rate on mortgages, so you could buy a house and live there permanently. Would you want a beach house in Hawaii? A ski lodge in Aspen? According to interest.com, the current rate on fixed mortgages for 30 years is only 5.00 percent! That’s less than we got two years ago, which now makes me wonder if we should refinance. But anyway, personally? I am so in love with the idea of living in a big city. I feel right at home in Chicago, Philadelphia, London-I’m a big-city girl at heart! If I could turn back the clock and go back to when Chris and I were just starting out, and I knew then what I know now about how much I love big cities, AND could get the right kind of loans, I would convince my husband to move with me to Chicago.
