Michigan weather makes me sick!

And yes, I meant the double-meaning there. There are so many great things about living in Michigan, like the beautiful changing of the leaves in the Fall, and the fact that we don’t have hurricanes, mudslides or earthquakes. Sure, our economy is in the toilet, but there are jobs if you look for them.

But, Michigan’s unpredictable weather makes me sick. Every Fall, the weather cycles crazily from warm to cold, dry to rainy, back and forth. And without fail every year, I get sick. My treatment for Bronchitis involves tons of water, black tea with honey, lemonade powder, and Tang powder (I know, sounds weird, tastes GREAT, has tons of Vitamin C in it), and going to bed with a cough drop in my mouth. If I was younger, say, just getting out of college, and Chris and I hadn’t settled down yet, I would seriously be considering moving somewhere where the weather is more stable. Wonder what the going rate is for Scottsdale real estate?

Yep. Shortman has the same thing. He’s miserable. I’m miserable for him. And hoping and praying that he doesn’t pass it over to me.

Although, it would be a great excuse to take my first sick day since 1999.

Ree-You’re in Ann Arbor? Hello, fellow Michigander! lol
No sick days since 1999? I think you’ve earned one, don’t you? :)

  3. Sorry to hear you’ve not been well, Elizabeth. Hoping you’re better real soon. Last night & this morning wasn’t good as we had lost power. No electricity at all. A new meter had to be fitted. We were back on around lunchtime.

I’m telling you – I’ve been feeling terrible ever since we set foot in DC. My brain feels too big for my skull and I can’t move my neck. If this is the way it goes here, life is going to suck. That’s positive, isn’t it? I’m sorry you feel yucky – but thank you for reminding me about Tang.. I haven’t thought about that in forever!!!

Yes, let’s all go to Scottsdale. I actually had a friend in highschool. Her family relocated there because her allergies were so bad that’s the only place she could live in peace. Now that’s love!!

    hugs!!

yup… unstable weather makes health unstable too.
especially those with bronchial disorder… like asthma.
so, its better to move in a location that has stable weather rather than risking your own health.

  7. Anything unpredictable is sometimes very irritating and this is the same case here guess…

I get irritated too when I trust that it wont rain and it rains!
