Sometimes Mondays are happy days

Happiness is…a friend getting married and posting her beautiful wedding photo. Congrats, Jen!

Happiness is…my kids spending two hours playing with the box our entertainment system came in, even the 11 year old. Chris took this cool photo of Kaitlyn while she was playing in it:

Happiness is…having a pile of DVDs arrive in the mail for reviews, including “Meet the Robinsons” and “Transformers” in HD, which is going to make Nathan lose his mind when he sees it.

Happiness is…getting a whole bunch of reviews done this weekend.

Happiness is…going to McDonalds and ordering the grilled chicken Asian salad with the lowfat dressing, instead of the Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal. One pound a week, one pound at a time, whatever it takes, this flab is COMING OFF. The walking I’m doing? One minute for every comment? Is harder than I thought, and feels better than I could have imagined.

Happiness is…making flight arrangements to go to Memphis the first weekend of November. I’ll be there barely 24 hours, but I love traveling, and I’ve never been to Memphis, so I’m really excited about going!

Happiness is…being happy for a change. Hooray for Lexapro and Wellbutrin, the chemical cocktail of housewife champions :)

Graham-I do feel lucky! I work hard writing the reviews, and then people send me more stuff to review, it’s pretty cool :)

I’m happy that you are happy! I can not wait to see your review on the Transformers!! Though I may do my own NOT FOR PAY Review anyways because I opened my big mouth and told the hubby that it came out today! Now he says he is going to buy it tomorrow. we will have to see if he comes home with it!
Hey I would also love to know how you get all this stuff for reviews!! I don’t qualify for pay for post as my blog is not old enough and all the other sites i have thought were the right ones turned out to be you buy this and get so many points for buying said product. Hook me up too??
Oh yea one more thing…I got my T shirt today!!! I have it on!!! I love it!! The purple really looks good one me! Your Rock my friend!

Becky-I’m so glad you like your shirt! As for the reviews-what I recommend you do is just start writing your own reviews, of whatever it is that you like! I got my very first product review because I wrote a post about how much I liked Swiffer products, and a company that was doing marketing for Swiffer emailed me. Create a category just for reviews, and link to the products’ home pages or pages on Amazon.com. I know there are lots of companies out there looking for bloggers, show them how well you can write!

Happy Days are wonderful days! I’m glad to see that you are on the up and up. I may need to see my doc about getting me that cocktail as well.
I want to know how you get the DVD’s too? I get some stuff from Vocal Point. Little stuff like razors, diapers, deodorant. But I often wonder how people go about testing bigger items and such?

Very cool picture! Glad you’re happy and hope you stay that way!

Happiness for me was getting a nice free Mickey Mouse Clubhouse DVD in the mail… it kept the kids quiet on Friday! It was great!

Crystal-Thanks! How are you getting all that stuff from Vocalpoint? I got coupons for Kashi products, and a free trial disc of NoodleNet, internet for kids, but I don’t get razors or deodorant! The DVD thing is recent, and if I had to guess, I would say it has a lot to do with the writing I do on MomReviews. My advice is write up some reviews of new release DVDs, linking to their page on Amazon, so companies will see your posts in search results. The more reviews I write, the more offers I get :)

Mimi-you should have seen the boys, practically knocking Kaitlyn over to get their turn climbing into that box. It was hilarious! I’m so glad the boys liked the Mickey Mouse DVD, too. We haven’t even watched ours yet :)

I’m so glad you found something that works for you… I have debated in the past as to whether or not I need something to help me get through the rough days. Good for you for making healthy choices in food too! We are doing that because my oldest recently gained quite a bit of weight and is at risk for being obese. My husband and I are overweight and I don’t want that for my kids.

    Um, yeah, that’s Kaitlyn!
