Isn’t that how that saying goes? Well, I have a plan.
A $2,000.00 plan. That’s Two Thousand dollars.
I want it by this time next month.
How? By taking advantage of paid blogging opportunities that are available to me.
Even with a new Page Rank of 3 (please don’t let it drop, please don’t let it drop), I should have no problem earning $30.00 a day with this blog.
And MomReviews just went up from PR0 to PR3 as well (it makes no sense, it’s only six months old, barely any backlinks, but don’t anger the Google gods, just be grateful), so I should have no problem earning $30.00 a day with that blog.
$60.00 a day times 30 days = $1800.00. The additional $200.00 I plan to make from my share of my Text Link Ads, my LinkWorth ads, and maybe I’ll get lucky and make some money with the BlogHer Ads running on MomCooks (no one is reading MomCooks except my friends Mimi and Lynne. I need more readers).
So that’s the plan. November is also National Blog Posting Month, since I already post on this blog every day now, I’m trying to decide whether to post a review every day on MomReviews, or post a recipe every day on MomCooks. They both could use some trafficky love.
Oh, and I have read and re-read Izzy’s Blogging Declaration of Independence, and all the comments I got after my last “woe is me, I write paid posts and my Mommyblogger friends don’t read me anymore” post. It’s my blog. I need to do what I need to do. Yes, there will be multiple posts a day. Yes, at least half will be sponsored in some way. If you don’t want to read them, please skip ahead or look back in the archives for other posts. I’ve got lots!
TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS. That’s the plan.

Hello and welcome to Table for Five! I'm Elizabeth, and this blog started in September 2005 as a way for me to participate in the Mommy Blogging community. I'm married with three terrific kids-boys ages 11 and 9 and a 2 year old daughter. Things I love include my family, coffee, Diet Coke, TV, reading, and Target.
Please contact me at table4five AT gmail DOT com if you would like to discuss anything I've posted here, place a text or button ad, send me a product to review, or provide a guest post. Thank you for stopping by!
See, my plan is to have 2 MILLION dollars by this time next month. I think I might need to win Lotto in order to complete my plan. Hey, at least I have a ticket - it’s a start, right?
That’s right, Amanda, dream BIG! LOL
I bet you’ll do it and then you’ll get booked on Oprah and Ellen and talk about how you made a bunch of money blogging. You’ll become a media darling and we’ll all be going “I used to know her way back when…”
PS: I’m glad the Blogging Declaration of Independence still resonates. I need to re-read it myself as I get ready to seriously cut back on some of my way-too-many blogging activities.
Izzy-Yes, and I can tell Oprah all about how no one even knew who I was until this generous, gorgeous blogger gave me a free pass to BlogHer ‘06
:)
And yes, your BDoI is still very much applicable. In fact, I think I’ll track down the post and re-post it here if you don’t mind. I’m so glad you left me a comment, thanks! xoxoxo
Sounds like a good plan!
It doesn’t matter if there are paid or unpaid posts, I still enjoy dropping by here.
Initially, I WISHED there were more payperpost opportunities I could take but now, I seem to be so picky and have only take two $5 ones in the past few days. (I now feel guilty if I blog about something I have no interest in.) How will I ever get to earning $2000 in a month? I’ll keep dropping by here….your blog keeps me inspired
Amanda-Thank you! Have you signed up with any other pay-you-to-post companies? There are quite a few others besides PPP-like PayU2Blog, Blogsvertise, and Smorty. When you combine them all, there’s always something to write about!
Good luck with your plan!
The Google Page Rank thing makes no sense to me, but you take what you can get. My blogs are 2’s now - one went down, and one went up.
So, more traffic means more comments, and more comments mean more time on the treadmill? Whenever are you going to find time to blog?
Sounds like a great plan! Best Wishes!!
BTW, My personal blog was a PR4 (which seemed too high for little me) and now it’s a PR3. My review blog was a PR2, now it’s only a PR1.
I hope you accomplish that. Don’t you haver run out of subjects? I have those days!!
My PR’s are not final yet they are between 2 and 3.
I meant “ever” of course.
thats crazy that u make $60 a day off of your blogs… and all you really need a is PR3 or >? dang, time to make me a blog…
Anna-I blog during the day and walk the treadmill in the evenings. I can ALWAYS find time to blog!! lol
Sheila-Aww, I’m sorry your PR went down. But be patient, it doesn’t seem to be over yet. MomReviews is bouncing back and forth between PR2 and PR3, I’m hoping it will land on PR3, of course
Yeah!!! sounds like a perfect plan.
and remember what i told you before–they’re NOT your friends if they STOP reading you because of what YOU’VE decided to do for YOUR family.
if they care so much, they can make the check out to party of five and i’m sure you’ll do the happy dance for them and post a video of it too. give me a break already, people are so MEAN, not reading a person’s blog and they were supposed to be your friends too?
that’s NOT NICE~
hugs to you and kudos for your plan. i need a plan. i love to blog and i would love to learn to get paid to do it. what’s wrong with that?
Here’s praying that you WILL complete the plan! *blowing fairy dust*
