Flameless Candles

One memory I have of Christmas when I was a child was that we had these plastic candles that went into our living room windows. It looked like three candles on a base, and the top part was a little light bulb. When it was plugged in, from the outside of the house, it looked like candles burning in the window. This idea has been updated into what is now called Flameless Window Candles, and although I haven’t seen one turned on yet, they apparently flicker just like the flame of a real candle.

I browsed FlamelessCandles.net and found what I think will be a lovely gift for my stepmother for Christmas-it’s like a combination snow globe and flameless candle.

Isn’t that pretty? It uses 2 “D” cell batteries, has a six hour timer, and runs for 800 hours-that’s a long time! In fact, I might even buy one for myself (wink). I’m definitely going to buy a three-tier candle like the ones we had when I was growing up, and maybe one of those color-changing candles, too. The prices on the site are really reasonable, and I love candlelight at Christmastime! Check out the site for beautiful and safe flameless candles for yourself or for a gift!

I have to agree. Good article. Keep it up ;)

  3. I have not seen a combination snow globe/flameless candle, but it certainly sounds interesting. The flameless candles of today are battery operated and some do indeed flicker like a real candle. I think they are a great product because they are so safe. Perfect to use at a wedding.

Do you also love the scent of a pine tree at Christmas time? I love that and get that with a scented wickless candle. It does not flicker like a candle, but does give off a warm light. I love those things at Christmas time.
