Anyone know the name of a good boarding school?

Author: Elizabeth

Kaitlyn found the old Similac can that I use to store pens and Sharpies.

She used a red Sharpie to scribble all over the laminate floor in the hallway, and on both cream-colored walls of the hallway.

It’s not coming off.

Why does someone so cute have to be so freaking destructive?

Sigh.

That’s Murphy’s law right there…how many pens in the house, and she found the sharpie? and it’s RED? Aghh!

Oh, No!! Have you tried rubbing alcohol? Sometimes that works.

R-Well, I hope she’s feeling creative when we are completely repainting the walls, including several coats of primer to cover up the red, and she’s confined to her room so she doesn’t get into the paint! Little stinker.

Katie-I know, right? That’s what I get for taking my eyes off of her for a minute so I could talk to my husband on the phone. Sheesh! Thanks for leaving a comment, I hope you come back to Table for Five soon!

Sheila-It came off the floor with non-acetone nail polish remover dabbed on very lightly. The walls, however, will have to be repainted because the Sharpie just soaked right in to the paint. We needed to repaint that hallway anyway, but until we can do it, we just have “custom artwork” on the wall :)

They’re so cute so you don’t kill them. As my hubby and I joke – now we know why some species eat their young. *sigh*

Did you try a Magic Eraser? I’m always amazed at how much those can remove!

Hey E I would watch her for you while you paint the walls! She can come and draw on my walls with Sam! They would have such a blast! Its always the Red Sharpie that they find!
Although last night it was Green Marker with the Red Sharpie!
I feel your pain and frustrations!!!!

  10. table4five says:

    Lanna-Isn’t that the truth!

  11. table4five says:

Lynne-I did try Magic Eraser, and I think it met it’s match! On the walls, it just sort of crumbled. I’m afraid it’s going to be a repainting situation.

I’ve got crayon on the wall and not even Mr. Clean’s Magic Eraser is taking it off completely. I may have to repaint the one wall!
