Today is Kaitlyn’s second birthday! It’s not exactly a normal day around here though, today is the day that Chris gets home, which, YAY! But because I have had such a bad cold for the last week, I haven’t done any of the regular housecleaning, so today I am running around like a crazy woman trying to get all the cleaning done at once.
Fortunately, two year olds really have no concept of “birthday”. I gave myself permission to sit down and take a short break so I could write up this post, then it’s back to work for me. Remind me to write up the post about our attempted birthday dinner at Cracker Barrel on Friday night with my Dad and Stepmother, which was pretty much a disaster. I also need to post the photos on Flickr-I have been such a neglectful Flickr-er, seriously.
Anyway, Happy Birthday to my little sweet pea, my “Princess Muffinest”, my angel. You have made me, your Dad, and your brothers so very, very happy over the last two years. I love you!

Two years old is so much fun – happy birthday, sweetie!
I’m so glad my nickname for her is sticking. You know when she’s graduating from HS I’m going to be showing up to help decorate with a “Congratulations Princess Muffinest!” banner, right?
Anyway, I’m too choked up to call and wish her a Happy Birthday. We were out all day yesterday or I would have done it then and I’m sure with Tover home for the first night night *for real* you’d like to spend some much needed family time together. I can’t imagine how much he’s been missing his kids and his wife, knowing him like I do. So I’ll save my gooshy call until tomorrow night, since Her Heiness won’t really truly know the difference and her loyal subjects will worship her just as much!
Though give her extra all over her face smooches for me today, will you sis?
