We did two trees this year. The boys took the top two sections of our artificial tree and decorated it themselves, Nathan picked out the ornaments himself:
For the living room, we picked out a Scotch Pine. It’s somewhat irregular in shape, and I accidentally bought “shimmering” (read:randomly twinkling) lights for it, but I’m still happy with the overall look. Kaitlyn and Ryan decorated it while Chris and Nathan put up the lights outside:
Even though there are big chunks with no ornaments at all, I’m not going to rearrange it at all. I think it’s perfect just the way it is:

They are lovely trees! Our tree has no ornaments about halfway down since Carson wouldn’t leave them alone!
And you would be right, it *is* perfect. Reminds me VERY much of our own Christmas trees growing up
Jennifer-Now that I look at it, the bottom six inches or so doesn’t have ornaments either. But that has a lot to do with our cat lying under the tree and batting at them
JJ-It does? That’s nice! But no comment about the adorableness of your niece? lol
In our house everyone’s so short that the tree is bottom heavy when it comes to ornaments. The top is almost bare.

I think it’s perfect! I wouldn’t change anything either
When my girls were smaller, all the ornaments were on the bottom half of the tree and in front. LOL!
What a big helper…and I think it is super that you are leaving it how it is! She is a dolly~
It looks beautiful
I don’t rearrange the decorations either after the babes have put them up.
Sis – haha! As if I needed too! It’s simply obvious to anyone who sees her! Though the first thing I did when I saw the pics was to call Monkey to look, exclaiming “Look how adorable Princess Muffinest is (while she is) decorating their tree!” Besides, I think your readers must get bored with all of the swooning I do over her sometimes hehe
Wow, your Christmas trees are so lovely. And Kaitlyn is so good, help decorating it. My daughter only knows how to remove them! The big star in the first tree gave your tree a nice illumination.
Your tree looks great!Great job with your little helper. My son would rather pull them down.
