We could have used a sightseeing tour when we went to Los Angeles in the summer of 2001. My husband has an old friend from High School that lives in L.A., and all we had planned was a trip there to meet up with him. We drove into downtown, and then had no idea what to do with ourselves! We ended up going to the La Brea Tar Pits, which sounds much more impressive than it is. It’s pretty much a building with some exhibits showing what was excavated there, and then an outdoor model of a tar pit with fake bones sticking out of it. Not exactly the thrilling L.A. adventure I would have liked to have had.

We could have taken a tour of Historic Los Angeles, and seen historic architecture, and places where movies were filmed. We could have taken a tour of Modern Los Angeles, and seen some of the coolest sculptures in the city! We could have gone to Hollywood Boulevard! If we had known about Trusted Tours, we could have purchased tickets at a discount, too. The next time we go to one of the major cities on their list, I’m definitely looking for tours we can take first.
