Is your New Year’s Resolution to eat healthier this year? Are you too busy to plan, shop for, and cook healthy meals? ChefsDiet.com is a meal delivery service that can get you eating fresh, healthy food for less per day than you are probably spending now on unhealthy fast food.

I am positively salivating over the sample menus, but one thing I have learned about myself is that I prefer food that is meant for children. The Chefs Diet Delivery program has Fresh Meals, Frozen Meals, Special Diets, and a Kids Plan. Take a look at the difference between a sample Fresh Daily Delivery for grown-ups versus the Kids Daily Delivery sample:

The Fresh Daily Delivery:

Breakfast:
Cranberry-orange breakfast-tea scone
Lunch:
Greek style turkey pita with crunchy grape leaves, feta cheese and dilled cucumber vinaigrette
Snack1:
Organic Edamame
Dinner:
Grilled rack of baby lamb with ratatouille parmesan and minted au jus
Snack2:
Smoked mozzarella over portabella mushroom with balsamic vinaigrette

The Kids Daily Delivery sample:
Western Omelet with Ranch Fries & Cheddar Melt
Lunch:
Roast Beef Sandwich on Sourdough Bread with BBQ Mayo, Pickle, and Cole Slaw and Seasonal Fruit Side
Snack 1
Fresh Fruited Jello Mixed Berry Topping
Dinner:
Roast Turkey with Almost Candied Yams, Gravy, Cranberry Dressing and Broccoli
Snack 2:
Baby Back Ribs with BBQ Beans and Turkey Bacon Crumble

Personally, I’d rather eat like a kid! Now, this isn’t an option for me since I have five people to cook for, but I know some of you have smaller families or are single, and this could be a great option for eating healthier. Prices start at $14.95 a day and you can choose programs that offer two meals per day, two meals and two snacks, three meals, or three meals and two snacks. This photo shows a sample meal:

Um, to be honest, I’m not sure what that is :) But I’m sure it’s delicious! The idea behind the Chefs Diet is to eat real food in healthy portions and not to feel deprived. Chefs Diet is healthy convenient food that can help you reach your weight loss goals, so if it’s something you think you could use, check it out!

Since when are baby back ribs a snack?
The kids menu does look appetizing.

Dang though… talk about pricey dishes. Lamb? Ribs? Grape leaves? Yikes. The $14.95/day/person does make me giggle… I can feed the four of us (and sometimes 6 when my parents are here) for $15/day. But I inherited my grandma’s weird grocery shopping price thing and I have a crazy pantry. :)

Sounds delicious, and I wish I had the money to spend on it. Of course, if I had that kind of money I probably wouldn’t be spending it on meal delivery, so…

If only money grew on trees the food sounds really good…though I would be eating like a kid too!

I can’t say that really looks appetizing and at $15 a day it would really have to taste good! ;-) You’ll have to let us know.

I think both menus sound delish! Of course I love lamb and greek style anything!

And ribs as a snack? Interesting….

It does sound good, but I just added it up. Everyday for a month for a family of 4 is $1800. Ouch

Eating healthy is so important but at the same time its so easy not to eat right. I try to eat 5 to 6 smaller meals of healthy portions to keep my metabolism peeking.
