Once a part of Yahoo!Health, Capessa is a new online community with real women giving other real women advice through personal experience. Capessa concentrates on everyday women who are dedicated to sharing personal life experiences and providing inspiration to their peers.

As part of Capessa’s overhaul – viewers can now watch professionally produced videos, exclusive to the site. The content is chosen by site editors, who scour the web for personal and inspiring stories that appeal to their tight-knit community and can serve as genuine conversation starters. Aside from the videos, the site also offers discussion boards, along with relevant blogs, and topical articles. Members can not only comment on the videos, blogs and message boards, but they also have a powerful influence in regards to the content and direction of their community. Capessa believes in providing a safe and supportive environment that is not only made up of women, but is run by them as well.
Capessa is still in the Beta stage, so not all of the links are live yet-the “About Us” link, for example-but it is already packed with great blog posts, discussions, and videos on everything from losing weight to coping with death. To help promote the site to my readers, I’m starting a giveaway today, and the randomly chosen winner gets a $50.00 Target Gift Card. To enter, you must register for an account with Capessa, which will take you to the registration page, then to a confirmation page, and then hopefully to my profile page. If you have already registered, here’s how to find me-
1. Log in
2. On the top right of the page is a green button called myStuff, click that
3. On your myStuff page, click the tab labeled My Messages
4. Click the blue Send New Message button
5. Click the blue Contacts button, and in the username field, type in table4five
6. My name will come up, check the box next to it and click ok
And that’s it! lol
And keep checking back with Capessa, once it gets out of Beta and all the pages are fully functioning, I think it’s going to be a place to get, and share, really great information with other real women. Good luck everybody!
