Five Posts I’d Like You To Read

Author: Elizabeth

Christy from Christy’s Coffee Break tagged me for a meme, asking me to post the Top Five Posts I Wish I’d Never Written. So at about 10:30 this morning I started going through two and a half years of posts, and at the risk of coming off as pretentious, I have to say-I couldn’t find any posts I wish I’d never written. With the exception of the posts I wrote last year when I was earning money for BlogHer by taking any sponsored post I could get, and I’ve been deleting those. But when I write a personal post, I think about it first, and I write carefully, and I don’t hit “publish” until I’m sure.

So I apologize for breaking the rules of the meme, but instead, I found five posts that I am proud of. Posts that represent different kinds of writing, posts written on the topics of being a Mom, dealing with real life, dealing with loss. I hope you will click the links and read the posts and the comments, and get to know me a little better.

Good for you. I agree. I don’t put anything up there that I feel shouldn’t be there.

“Because I can’t just leave this one alone” is a heartfelt winner. It’s amazing quite how obnoxious complete strangers can be online; I wrote a bit about blogging courtesy over at

It’s amazing how politeness goes flying out the door as though it was drop-kicked at times.

    Enjoy,

    Barbara

I’m with you. I don’t think I could come up with 5 that I wish I never wrote. There was a reason, at the time, as stupid as it may have been as to why I wrote what I had. I don’t regret anything I’ve posted, so far (that being said without perusing my archives first)

Barbara-Thank you! I’m one of those blogging idealists who believes that we should all just get along, and “comment unto others as you would have them comment unto you”, and all that. I see no reason why common courtesy shouldn’t apply to blogging!

I love anyone who breaks the rules, lol. Thanks for participating!

You’re doing way better than me, I had a hard time choosing which of my regrettable posts I should pick!

I always go back to past writings, conversations, etc., and wonder if I could of done it better or if I should have done it at all!

    :)
