Well geez, if the symptoms fit

By table4five | March 26, 2008

Read this list of symptoms and tell me if you have one or more of them, ‘kay?

* Hands, arms or legs feel cold or “go to sleep”?
* Do your legs get aches or pains on short walks?
* On slight exertion, do you get breathless?
* Is your memory worse than it used to be?
* Are you lacking the energy you once had?
* Test results indicate cardiovascular problems?

So I read that, and I’m like check, check, check. Do you know what that list of symptoms is indicating? Arterial blockage, that’s what. As in, the arteries carrying life-giving blood to your heart could be blocked-which, thanks, now I need to go lie down.

I’m not usually an alarmist, but damn, that’s kind of scary. Of course the logical thing to do now is call my lovely doctor Doctor Kim and ask her to run some tests. I wonder how much an MRI costs when you have to pay it upfront to satisfy your deductible.

Have any of you ever heard of chelation therapy? Me neither. And get this, it consists of a liquid called EDTA, which stands for ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, a common chelating agent used for enzyme deactivation and as a bacteriocide. No, I did not just type that out, I copy/pasted it from the Google Search, because there was no way I was going to get all those letters right this early in the morning.

There’s a liquid product called Cardio Renew which is a combination of amino acids and is 100% liquid EDTA. Amino acids are the “building blocks” of protein and are used by the body for healthy cell development. You take 14 drops of it in 2 ounces of mineral-free liquid like distilled water or pure juice, and do that six times a day, then five, then four. Apparently, the EDTA will bind with the free-floating minerals and metals in your system and flush them out.

I had no idea. Who knows what minerals and metals I could have floating around in there? No wonder my hands are always cold!

I know some parents that have successfully used chelation for their autistic children!

That is very scary sounding!! But it sounds like you are catching it early (if you even have it), so that will be a good thing.

You just totally freaked me out. I’ve been waking up with hands, feet, arms and legs deader than a piece of meat - I have to get out of bed and jump around to start getting circulation!! As for the rest… check, check, check!!

I need to get that stuff immediately!!! Great - something else to worry about. Nooooooooo!!!!

ps - I’m setting up Lucia’s Linky Love (I get all my plug-in ideas from you, so if there’s anything else you think I need.. let me know!!). Do you like it? Is it working for you? I’m really not exactly sure why I specifically need it - I just feel like I do.

Does it do something other than I’m already doing by catching the spam in akismet and not letting them leave comments?

I’d rather beat it the old fashioned way - just plain good ol’ exercise. It also cures many other ailments :)

Adventures in Babywearing-Really? Are there studies that link an excess of minerals to autism? I had no idea!

  9. table4five - 03/26/2008 at 8:07 pm

Holli-I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to freak you out! Maybe you are just cold in the morning because DAAAaaddy is hogging all the covers while you sleep? lol

And to answer your second comment question, to be honest, I’m not sure if Lucia’s is helping or not. I suppose I do get less spam comments, although I do still get them. I’m not even sure that commenters know that they won’t get a backlink from leaving a comment until after they have left three comments.

The plugin that I love love LOVE that you should absolutely have is the Comment Luv plugin. That’s the one that shows the link to the commenter’s latest post. People LOVE seeing their link under their comment! Let me know if I can help with anything else at all, any time :)

I’d check to see if Cardio Renew has been approved by the FDA. There are so many products and supplements out there that aren’t even screened by the FDA and some of them can be quite dangerous (think ephedra). I’ve experienced many of those symptoms and doing a few simple yoga sessions each week has alleviated the problems.

on those symptoms, I thought you were going to say old age, ’cause I sure got all of them but not all at the same time. :)

Not only “getting old”, but there’s lots of other things more likely for a young woman with young children to think about — how about vitamin B12 deficiency — very common in women and accounts for poor circulation and numbness in hand/feet/arms/legs; allergies and asthma for the breathlessness; rheumatoid arthritis for the aches and pains and tiredness. Overall, most of those are symptoms of lack of sleep, stress, and lack of exercise.

that is really scary and alarming! it’s amazing how little symptoms that seem like nothing can be signs of something so serious. i would typically just brush off some of the symptoms you listed. thanks for sharing and bringing this topic to the attention of others!

Have heard of that therapy. A dear friend with ALS was going through that about two years ago in an effort to slow symptoms. Did it work? I have no idea. But she be exhausted for days afterward. But she’s no longer doing it.

Also, I’ve heard the therapy can be done for autistic people to help them as well.

JMom-I would actually feel a lot better if having some of these symptoms just means I’m getting old LOL
