Thanks to my wonderful hubby and his mad computer skillz, my hard drive from my ruined laptop is now happily installed in a different laptop and I’m back in the blogging biz. The post before this one is a DVD giveaway, so please do check that out. I’ve got lots of great products to tell you about, so please check back later today and throughout the weekend for fresh, hot, Table for Five goodness.
Did you realize that Mother’s Day is in ELEVEN days? Have you thought about a gift for your Mom/Mother in Law/other special woman you know who is also a Mother/yourself? (lol) You know what always makes a great gift and is special no matter how often it happens? Arranging for mothers day flowers delivery, that’s what.
*sigh* My husband would make me SO HAPPY if he sent me that bouquet of flowers for Mother’s Day. He probably won’t, because even though I’ll drop plenty of hints, he’ll remember the day before and buy me a card on the way home from work, like he always does. Maybe I should send flowers to MYSELF! If there are any Dads reading this post, PLEASE, send your wife flowers for Mother’s Day. Call 1-800-FLOWERS or go to their website and send her a bouquet as beautiful as she is. She’ll love them!
Edited to add: After reading this again, I realized that not only am I being extremely passive-aggressive here, instead of just coming right out and ASKING my husband to buy me flowers for Mother’s Day, but I’m also dissing him on the internet, and that’s not fair. Honey, I love you. I know money is tight, and anything you give me for Mother’s Day will be wonderful. Seriously.
I was all set to order my mom flowers for Mother’s Day, found a really pretty bouquet on sale for 17.99, got it all ordered, and then they tacked on a $16!!!! charge for shipping and handling. Uh, not. I can’t afford $35 for flowers that are going to die in a week or less, no matter how pretty or thoughtful. So back to the drawing board for my mom!
oh wanted to add– these were not at 1800flowers… some other place, I don’t remember where now.

And, of course, you deserve flowers!
I wrote you back about the MI Moms idea — which I LOVE! But I think perhaps your dying computer might have eaten the email. Can you drop me a line, so I know what the best email address is to use for you, and then we’ll get in touch about that? We should definitely make it a reality!
So glad to hear you’re back in biz with the computer. I know what a headache that can be.

You know what, I never liked receiving flowers as a gift, and my fiance knows that.. Normally I like getting something that won’t die on me in a week, but these I like very much and wouldn’t mind getting!

I love those flowers. They are so beautiful. I would love to receive something like that. I have raved about 1800 Flowers before.

I hope your hubby buys you flowers.. or maybe you should just buy yourself a bouquet!
Glad you are back up and running. Both the battery and the power cord for my laptop are dead. I’ve been having to fight with the rest of the family over use of the desktop. It’s killing me!

Proactively asking is the best way to make sure you receive what you want! At my stage of life, I’m content enough that really, I already have everything I want. ‘course, a Samurai sword for Kendo would be delightful….

My mom is the type who actually prefers cheaper flowers (such as carnations) that will last longer. She’s pretty much happy to receive any kind of flowers! If you can’t afford a flower arrangement, you could always look for a potted plant instead.
