PopBandit-get personal alerts about stuff you love

If you’ve ever used Google Alerts to find out who’s writing about you or your blogs, you’ll LOVE PopBandit. Whatever you love, you can find out instantly whenever someone publishes something about it online. Are you a huge fan of the show “Weeds” and you want to know whenever someone writes a review of the Weeds Season 3 DVD? Add that to your alerts and you’ll get an email or text message when something new is posted!

Getting started with PopBandit is easy, once you sign up and click the link in the confirmation email, you create a profile, then populate your page with all the stuff you love, hate, have, and want. You can share your favorite products, events, videos, movies, whatever you want. Believe me, there is a page for everything on PopBandit, even for fans of the movie Get Smart.

A page for one topic is called a PopPage, and the list of articles related to that topic are PopBytes. For example, on this PopPage dedicated to Tom Petty, you can see concert dates, a link to a New York Times CD review, and a link to a newspaper review of a recent concert. PopBandit will also make recommendations of other things you might like based on what you share. There is so much information on the site about pretty much anything, be prepared to sit down and spend an hour or two. The site is still in beta so I can only imagine that it will just get better!
