I think this is a major issue with Twitter. When I write a post on my blog that is "out there" in terms of saying something about somebody else, it is like I get a tight feeling around my rib cage. By the time I finish writing the post, I know two things - I need to publish it a couple of days in the future to give myself time to re-think it, and that if I do end up publishing it, I have to be prepared to cop the flak that comes along with it. Like my recent do not upgrade to wordpress 2.6 post - I had strong feelings on the subject and when you have strong feelings like that you usually know that not everyone else is going to share them exactly the same, and they might have a go at you for expressing your strong feelings.

With twitter, it is instant - you don't have a lot of room (140 characters or so I am told, I've never used it) and in a situation like that you run the risk of saying something offhand that you might regret later.

I will say that the name thing is something I thought of long before I began blogging, and therefore my name is highly unusual. Except in Norway, where it means Avalanche. ;)

Anyway, I was just catching up on some reading and links led me here so I thought I'd say hi, long time no comment, sorry it's been a bit insane in my world but I am still here and still reading.. :)

Just ridiculous. Fussy is great. People need to realize that words hurt, and incorrect statements hurt more.
