Once, my mom wanted me to write down a phone number I heard on the radio. I must have been about four. It was a 1-800 #, and I remember writing it "1 8 100" because I hadn't yet learned the concept of multiples of 100. And then mom yelled at me for using the couch to lean on, because the thick marker might bleed through.
