You go girl!!! That was fantastic! Only wish more people had enough guts to stand up to these ridiculous companies and their even more ridiculous charges. Need to remember that for future’s sake (not that I’m expecting anything like that happen to me, but you never know, right?)

Sprint’s reps are bad. 2 years ago I had nextel and sprint was taking over. Sprint had a better phone than the nextel that I had. I asked if the sprint service would work in my neck of the woods because where I am taking a cell phone outside to use is the best it gets. I can handle that. They assured me they would work. And I didn’t have to pay anything. I got home and had nothing. I had to drive 6 miles down the road to get service. That day we went back. Told them the issue. They wanted to charge me $400 to switch back to nextel and to get my phone back. On top of that they wanted to charge me $200 to get the plan I had. I now go with prepaid cell phones! Sprint will never get the money they keep billing me for!
Stick to your guns and do what you have to do:)

What a huge risk for a tiny return for that CSR. I guess that is why that job has so much churn. Have to watch those bills carefully, that’s for sure!

We always begin the conversation, when talking to customer service reps who “don’t have the authority” to remove charges, with the explanation: “The company you work for doesn’t pay you enough to sit through the headache I’m about to give you. Let’s just agree you’ll forward me to your supervisor NOW and I’ll tell him/her that you did your best, m’kay?”

Works like a charm.

I cannot stand Sprint and I am stuck with them.

You didn’t intend to get anyone fired, so it’s not like you were demanding their heads on a platter. If someone is doing business like that? They need to lose their job.

Hopefully it is a lesson learned.
