If you are looking for a new provider for Internet, phone, and/or satellite TV, here’s some information about Verizon. Verizon High Speed Internet starts at just $14.99 a month with the first month free and a free modem with their “Price for Life” plan, which requires a minimum two-year commitment, for a speed of 768 Kbps, which is 21 times faster than standard dial-up. Or, for a download speed of 3.0 Mbps which is 53 times faster than dial-up, Verizon offers a plan at $27.99 a month with the “Price for Life” two year minimum commitment plan.
There are four different Verizon phone packages, from the basic unlimited local calling plan to the feature-packed Freedom Plan with unlimited local and long distance calling plus seven popular calling features. Choose from Call Waiting, Caller ID, Call Forwarding, Call Blocking, *69, Voicemail, and more.
Verizon satellite TV has an incredible deal going right now, you get DirecTV with EVERY channel, over 250 of them, plus over 30 movie channels and all the local channels for $74.99 a month. AND, you can pick either a 2008 NFL Sunday pass, a 2008 Nascar pass, or a free HD DVR with service! That’s a great deal. For the biggest and best deals at Verizon, ask about their Bundle services, where you combine Internet, Phone, and Satellite TV packages and save big. If you are going to have Internet, a landline phone, and satellite TV anyway, you might as well save money too!

Personally, I wouldn’t go back to Verizon if THEY PAID ME $30/month. As I wrote in a review about them a while back “their tech support and customer service departments were run by people less competent with computers than the average retirement home resident.”

I switched from AT&T (Cingular) to Verizon Wireless more than 2 years ago and I never looked back. Very pleased with their cell phone service.
I’ve had verizon wireless for years but signed up for fios and tv a few months ago. Honestly, it’s been a terrible experience so far… the worst part is being a “one bill” customer verizon wireless can’t even talk to me about my bill.
If anybody is considering doing the switch DON’T do the one bill thing, it’s a nightmare.
I had Verizon as a cell phone carrier but switched to AT&T because of the iPhone. Although Verizon doesn’t have the phones AT&T does, their cell phone network is DEFINITELY better. When i was with Verizon I would hardly ever get any dropped calls, but now with AT&T I get them almost daily. Who knows though, maybe its just my area.
