Munchkin makes clever and innovative products for babies and toddlers that are anything but boring. They sent me three products from the 2008 line to try out with Kaitlyn, and everything was a big hit!

The Backyardigans Insulated Big Kid Cup has become her new favorite drinking cup, which means that not only do I have to keep it clean and ready to go when she wants milk or juice, but I also have to constantly look for it because she carries it all over the house! Even though she drinks out of a regular cup too, the sippy cup top is great for drinks on the go, and the one piece valve is easy to get in and out for cleaning. It’s BPA free, too!

gone fishin bath toyShe loves the Gone Fishin’ Bath Toy, she carries the fishing pole and magnetic sea squirts all over the house. When I first took them out of the package, it didn’t seem like the magnet on the end of the fishing pole was connecting with the magnets that are under the tops of the sea squirts, so I took a magnet off the refrigerator and rubbed it over the sea squirts magnets to “charge” them up, and that really helped. It’s a fun toy and Kaitlyn seems so proud of herself when she “catches” something!

And for introducing babies or toddlers to the alphabet, there’s Spongebob Floating Foam Letters with Foam Spongebob characters. The foam is non-toxic and sticks to the sides of the tub. You can even use them to start teaching your toddler how to spell words like Mom, Dad, and their name. Munchkin has lots of great products and their website is easy to search by category or by age. You’re sure to find something that a special child will love!
