My boys are allowed to watch YouTube under our close supervision, and about two weeks ago they came across a clip of Brian Regan doing his “Stupid in School” routine. They watched it, they had me watch it, then we made Chris watch it, and then we all just laughed and repeated it to each other for the next couple of days. He’s hilarious! His third DVD is The Epitome of Hyperbole, with a running time of 42 minutes. I think we all picked his bit about the other planets kicking Pluto out as our favorite routine from that DVD. It’s not rated, but he does use the four-letter “H” word a few times, so I would say at least PG depending on what you let your kids hear. My boys hear that word…ahem…occasionally around the house, so we allowed it.
The DVD is available on Amazon.com along with his two other DVDs and some CDs, too. He’s known as a “clean family comedian” (well, except for this latest performance I suppose), and he is really funny. He’s got a routine, I’m not sure what it’s called, but it’s about kids trying to figure out the plural ending for words, and they come up with “en” as the ending for everything-”boxen”, “woodsen”. My boys just about pass out laughing every time they watch the YouTube clip and they’ve even got Chris and I repeating it. Any comedian who can appeal to that wide of an audience has got some talent.

He is hilarious! I love his piece on airports and how they lose your luggage all the time and try to offer you “the essentials”. Too funny! And, his jokes about Dora the Explorer and “I’m The Map” are good too.
