I’ve been trying to get to the computer as soon as I can after a conversation with Kaitlyn, because the things that come out of this girl’s mouth! Last night after dinner, I was in the kitchen doing dishes:
Kaitlyn (running into the room at top speed): “I wanna watch teeVEEEEEE!!!”
Me: “Okay, ask one of your brothers to put a show on for you in the back room.”
Kaitlyn: “Nathan is watching Avatah and he won’t change the channuh! You have to HELP ME!”
When she decides she wants something, her mind is made UP. Like when she insisted she needed to wear Nathan’s socks and shoes:

This morning while she was laying on the changing table, she brushed her bangs out of her eyes:
Kaitlyn: “I need to get a haircut!”
Me: “Okay, I can trim your bangs if you’d like”
Kaitlyn: “I wanna go to the place where Nathan got HIS haircut. Or I can make scissors with my fingers like this and go snip! snip! snip!”
I’m keeping all scissors far out of her reach lest she decide to do a home haircut
When this child decides to do something, that is IT, like when she decided she needed a place to put her keyboard. She found a box and a chair and got herself all set up. Remember, she is only TWO:

The other day she came running up to me and announced that it was her birthday (it wasn’t):
Me: “oh really? what’s going to happen on your birthday?”
Kaitlyn: “I’m going to get presents and a cake and go to Chuck E Cheese and have a parade!”
The first two? Definitely. The last two? Yeah, um…no. Although, look at these eyes. Do you think it’s easy to say no to THESE eyes?:

As frustrating as ages 2 to 3 can be, there is also something magical about the innocence of 2-3. Part of me wishes I could freeze her like this forever. Except she would need to get potty trained first

She’s such a doll! I love her eyes, her hair, her smile, her attitude. You are definitely a blessed Mommy.
the moosh informed me that her birthday will be purple and orange with a pony.
And she calls my contacts “eyeball glasses”
Do you think it’s the curly hair?
That is too cute! Hannah is very insistent about stuff, too. She definitely knows what she likes and what she doesn’t like. And if she likes it she WANTS it. NOW!

Casey- I think it’s definitely the combination of the curly hair and the big eyes that our daughters have, it leaves us powerless! How are the plans to buy that pony coming along? LOL

Andrea- I’m sure Hannah is equally hard to resist

LOL – she sounds a lot like Becca, although Becca’s language skills aren’t quite there yet. And she still has no hair.
I don’t know how you can ever resist those eyes!
She’s so cute! Adorable photographs!
OMG my daughter has that same kitty kat keyboard. It kept running out of batteries too fast, so we finally had to hide it from her. Some toys just get so annoying, its finally just worth it to hide it for a while til she finds it again. Maybe we’re just mean, on the other hand…?
She looks like a barbie doll
You are too funny!! It is amazing what toddlers say…mine is 3 1/2 & smart as a whip. You can’t get anything past her. And last week, 3 days after she got her hair cut at the salon I go to, she climbed up to “my cabinet” where I hide everything, found the kitchen scissors & gave herself a “mini-mullet” on one side of her head! I thought I had hidden the scissors so well, but she stacked step stools & boxes until she was tall enough!! Lord help me now. Just when you think you have done it all right, your kids come around & show you how wrong you are!!
I read your “about” page…LOL…we have some things in common (SAHM & c-section here too) & similar attitudes. Great read.
I love her eyes. It look nice and beautiful. Your daughter will grow up and became a beautiful angel in the future.
