The Godfather-The Coppola Restoration box set

After spending a year on extensive frame-by-frame restoration utilizing state-of-the-art digital technology, Francis Ford Coppola has re-released his three “Godfather” movies in a new box set titled The Godfather-The Coppola Restoration. When I received it for review, I turned it over to my husband who has watched each of the Godfather movies I don’t know how many times, certainly every time he flips by one of them on TV he stops and watches. We didn’t purchase the original DVD releases from 2001, so his opinion is based solely on comparing how the restored DVDs look compared to video tapes and TV showings. In his opinion, it looked as if the movies had been shot with digital cameras this year, not thirty years ago.

The price is high, Amazon has it listed at $62.99, but there are used copies available too. And even for that full price, considering everything you are getting, if you need a Christmas or birthday gift for someone who just loves the Godfather movies, this is really going to make their day.
