In less than a month, Kaitlyn will be three. And yet sometimes, I catch an expression on her face and see the woman she will become. Look at this face:

I want to keep her right where she is right now, making up silly stories and jokes, carrying around five blankies at once, tucking her dolls into a makeshift cradle and singing a lullaby to them in her highest-pitched voice. I don’t ever want her to know about the horrible things that happen in the world. I want her life to be rainbows and cotton candy and ponies. I want her face to look like this, all the time:

That’s not so much to ask for a parent, right?

Wow, what amazing poses these are! Cherish this time because you’re right, it goes quick and we want to keep them young.

You can see those hints now – but it won’t be too long before you look back and wonder where that little girl went… I’m already seeing it with my oldest – I can hardly picture what she looked like at 2 years old. Sigh.
Those are some gorgeous pictures of Kaitlyn – her eyes are so expressive!
Awwww, how sweet. Yes, she most certainly has quite a mature way about her, like years of wisdom are behind those eyes. I was thinking that the other day about my little ones too and how I just can’t believe how fast time has gone. It’s hard to see them grow up and move on to bigger phases of life but for now…I appreciate every little thing.

3 is my favorite age. Kids are so full of wonder, joy and energy at that age. If only they could be 3 forever and ever.
I want my 5 year old to stay 5 forever. She told me the other day that she is getting older and I’m just going to have to accept it.
That is what I love about them at that age, so funny and serious at the same time.

She is a very pretty little girl, she looks so grown up for her age!
She is lovely!
They say you can read a person thru their eyes. Her eyes is certainly full of expression and depth. She’s very cute. Reminds me of a blond version of Matilda.
