New DVDs are usually released on Tuesdays, but Kung Fu Panda is being released tomorrow on DVD and Blu-Ray. Kung Fu Panda is the newest release from Dreamworks Animation, starring Jack Black as the voice of Po, the noodle-loving Panda who dreams of becoming a Dragon Warrior. The all-star voice cast includes Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Ian McShane (“Deadwood”), Jackie Chan, Seth Rogan, Lucy Liu, David Cross, Michael Clarke Duncan, and Wayne Knight (“Seinfeld”). The DVD is packed with Bonus Features including celebrity chef Alton Brown in a Food Network Exclusive.

You can purchase the DVD by itself or in a two-disc set that also has the DVD “Secrets of the Furious Five”, which continues the story with Dragon Warrior Po continuing his quest to become a Kung Fu master like China’s famous “Furious Five”.  And, if you purchase the DVD at either Wal-Mart or Target, you’ll also be able to buy special retail bundle packs. Wal-Mart has the Kung Fu Panda DVD with a Ty Beanie of Po, and Target has the two-disc set plus the Kung Fu Panda PC game. Pick them up starting tomorrow!

Loved this movie! We got ours at Best Buy, because it was $15.99 for the two disc pack. Other places had it advertised for $22.99. It came with a bonus disc of extras, like ringtones, wallpapers, and a Kung Fu Fighting music video. The only problem – one disc was full screen and the other widescreen. Why they would package them that way I have no idea, but Cory didn’t notice until after he opened them. It’s not a huge deal, but we do try to buy everything in widescreen.
