Ever since I got a DYMO LetraTag labelmaker, I’ve been going a little crazy with the labeling.  I’ll tell you what though, you know what the absolutely most useful labels I’ve made have been so far? Labels for all of the freaking chargers in this house! I was constantly picking them up asking “is this for my phone? my Peek? Nathan’s phone? “  I could never find the charger I wanted when I wanted it. Now I have them all neatly labeled- Mom’s Phone, Peek, Nathan’s phone-and I can always find the one I want!

Not only are there a ton of uses for DYMO labels, but there are so many more KINDS of labels than I realized. When I was contacted about doing this review and giveaway, I got a DYMO home labeler and a box of tapes, and I couldn’t believe it. Magnetic tapes so you can make your own magnetic words for the fridge! Plastic tapes for labeling sippy cups or plastic storage containers, so the label stays on even after washing! Iron-On labels for labeling clothing. Clear labels that look great under photos in scrapbooks.

    My mother has one of these label makers — I stumbled across it today, actually — and I want one SO bad. In my house, our closets and the storage shed behind our house desperately need organizing. We have boxes and crates full of crap that really isn’t organized very well!

    I have lots of plastic containers in my bathroom closet containing soaps and lotions and creams, etc. but nothing is labeled. Therefore, I have to take everything down and open each to find what I want. Having a labelmaker would certainly improve that situation greatly.

    We have plastic storage containers in the basement full of everything under the sun. It would be great to not have to pull them off the shelves each time we need to find something.

    I just organized my beads into plastic shoeboxes. It would be great to be able to label them so I don’t have to hunt through them all to find what I need; I could just read the labels and pick out the correct box! Great giveaway -thanks!

    What needs to be labeled the most are my candle wick containers. I make candles which means over 25 different types of wicks and sizes. Right now they are in bins but not labeled so its a major pain trying to find the right one.

    Hubby’s desk, my craft “area” (currently an unorganized mess on shelves), craft/homeschooling stuff for the kids, outgrown clothes, half the pantry when I keep confusing my 25lb tubs of flour and sugar, etc.

    It’s not me so much as my father who could really use this. He has 76 yrs worth of accumulated things. He could finally get organized and find what he is looking for much more easily once he had a label on the boxes and containers. No more “what’s in here” or “where did I put the _”
    I know that it causes me great stress and anxiety when I can not readily put my hands on something I am looking for and I have no where near the amount of stuff my dad has. I would like to alleviate this worry for him.

    I would use this to label almost everything in my house, lol. Especially my sons things because he is 1 and its hard enough keeping up with sock boxes and clothing i have in totes for my next child. I’m tired of using permanent marker or my nice tote boxes.

    I have four thick binders that need labeling. When my daughter was 16 and my son was 17, I started to write something everyday on a plain sheet of paper. I was so self conscious at first that I was lucky to get a paragraph written. I wanted to leave a very intimate account of our family life for my children to read when they were older. Before I knew it I was writing a full page of single spacing and the binders grew.

    The labels would indicate each year and a brief title.

    My light/fan switches need labeling there are so many of them in one spot I always hit the wrong one. I also need to label the disposal switch (it’s right next to a light switch!)

    I live in a house full of messy disorganized people and I could sure use this. I think I would label all of the spots where people are supposed to put things and never do. They always say they don’t know where anything goes or is. This would eliminate that poor excuse for being lazy and sloppy. I grew up in a house where everything was in its place and this mess I live in now really gets on my nerves. Please pick me to help stop the mess madness!

    The littlest diva would label everything in her site- NO JOKE- as she has called eternal dibs on any and all office/school supplies. What really needs labeling is like you said the freaking chargers and cords… seriously in addition to the ones we use daily i have drawers full that go to God only knows what but I put them there so when we find something that needs one we know where to look.

    My Dad taught me very young to properly label everything so you could always easily find something. That was back in the day when you either hand wrote the label or typed it on a typewriter. I still label just about anything and everything. I would get the most use out of this by labeling my craft supplies. And, my Dad could borrow it too.

    We own a 3-flat and have a basement filled with tools, small hardware and all kinds of supplies in drawers, tupperware, boxes – and we MUST organize everything so it doesn’t take forever to find things! Also, I do some freelance catering and we volunteer at a Soup Kitchen so I have a gazillion herbs and spices etc. – they ALL need labeling! The DYMO Labelmaker would be a real godsend!

    I have 3 things that really need labels. My spices (for shelf life), my family paperwork files, and I just purchased bulk mineral makeup and have been using a sharpie on glass jars to identify the colors.

    My antique button collection! This would be absolutely perfect for organizing and having really nice neat labels so I know exactly what is where. I have over 20 large boxes filled with old enamel, jewel, pearl, picture and very ornate antique buttons that need to be categorized and this label maker is such an effective method for me to use to do just that.
