Win a $25 Target GC & an amazing prize pack!

This giveaway is closed. Congratulations to the winner, comment #81- Amy’s Bad Groove!

I recently wrote about the Vaseline Clinical Therapy “Prescribe the Nation” campaign on MomReviews. I told my readers there about how I received Vaseline Clinical Therapy Lotion to try for myself, and how I immediately “prescribed” it to my husband for his super-dry skin, and how the results were outstanding.

You may have already seen the TV commercials where you meet Petal Ruch, the woman from Kodiak Alaska who was the first person in her community  to receive Vaseline Clinical Therapy Lotion.  She then recommended it to her family and friends who shared it with their family and friends and so forth, eventually over 600 people in Kodiak, Alaska were using Vaseline Clinical Therapy Lotion.

Not only do I think each of my Table for Five readers should immediately try Vaseline Clinical Therapy Lotion and start “prescribing” it to everyone they know, but I’ve also got a AMAZING prize pack to give away, courtesy of the terrific folks at M80.  One lucky winner will receive all of this:

A $25.00 Target gift card

A Kona Gift Basket with coffee, tea, candy, and more

Godiva Chocolates

And a bottle of Kiehl’s shampoo.

Edited to add: And a bottle or two of the Vaseline Clinical Therapy Lotion of course! I can’t believe I forgot to mention that!

DVD Info- Swingtown The First Season

swingtownFrom the Emmy® nominated director of Six Feet Under, all 13 episodes of SWINGTOWN ™-The First Season arrive on DVD as a four-disc set.

A flashback to the suburban summertime of 1976 when America’s sexual revolution was at its height, SWINGTOWN ™ mixes sexy plot lines alongside family drama and real-life issues faced by married couples. Superbly acted and critically adored, the show features arousing performances from Grant Show (Melrose Place™, Ryan’s Hope) and Molly Parker (Deadwood, Six Feet Under) as it follows three couples exploring new freedoms and seeking connections with each other through open marriages, “key parties” and other swinger’s extravaganzas.

Boasting incredible nostalgic detail in design and clothing, SWINGTOWN™ also stars Jack Davenport (Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End), Lana Parrilla (24), Josh Hopkins (Brothers & Sisters) and Miriam Shor (Big Day).

Bonus features include “The Spirit of ’76: The Making of SWINGTOWN,” which walks audiences through how producers authentically re-created 1976 through production design, costumes, hair and makeup, and “Have a Nice Revolution: Sex & Morality in 1970s America,” a thematic piece chronicling the show’s major real-life influences – the sexual revolution, feminism, disillusionment post-Watergate, the economy and the advent of recreational drug use. The set also contains a gag real, deleted scenes and audio commentaries by Director Alan Poul and Series Creator Mike Kelley.

I’d give you my personal review of Swingtown The First Season, but I ran into a bit of a snag- the deadline for posting the information about the DVD came and went, and well, I lost the DVD. I know it’s in the house somewhere! But I’ve looked in all the usual places where I might put a DVD, like the entertainment center, the shelves where we actually put our DVDs, and the bookshelf, and I can’t find it anywhere. So my apologies for just posting info from the press release. If you watched Swingtown, feel free to tell me in a comment what you thought of the show.

Power Graphics Digital Imaging

I’ve got a quick review for you of a site that does digital imaging graphics, meaning they can print your image on a wide variety of items, whether you want a photo printed on canvas, signs to advertise your business, or other promotional items. The site is called Power Graphics.

Canvas Printing is pretty cool. You can get your favorite digital photo printed right onto canvas which you can then frame and hang just like a fine piece of art. Power Graphics uses 12 color archival pigmented inks, and their canvas prints are rated for over 100 years of longevity compared with only 15 years for a traditional photo print or canvas transfer!

If you have a business or product to promote, and you want to take advantage of a unique way to advertise, Power Graphics can make you a wide variety of Floor Graphics too. You know how grocery stores will sometimes have footprints on the floor leading to a display? Those are printed floor decals. You can get ones that are repositionable, resist scratching, and stand up even to floor cleaning chemicals. Pretty cool!

If you’re taking your product to a trade show, Power Graphics can make Banner Stands for you to place around your display. They sell both the portable kind that require you to unroll the banner and attach it to the display stand by hand, and the retractable kind that roll down like a window shade. These have many uses besides at trade shows and Power Graphics will make sure yours looks great! You can learn more about the company and see examples of their work on the Power Graphics site.
