I am so glad I have this blog so I can document the funny and awesome things Kaitlyn has been doing lately:
While playing with a wooden boat that has a little wooden man figure that fits in it, and a Peter Rabbit eraser, she had this dialogue going, I was eavesdropping and typing as fast as I could:
“Hello Rabbit”.
“Hello man.”
“Would you like some hot chocolate?”
“Yes! I would like some hot chocolate to warm me up. That’s better”
“Now let’s go!”
“Uh oh we’re crashing. Boom!”
“We don’t crash boats! Now hop on again and this time don’t crash the boat”.

I’m doing a review on MomReviews for the U.S. Tennis Association’s Jr. Team Tennis program (tennis is fun and gets kids moving!), and they sent these special tennis rackets that are shorter and wider and tennis balls that are spongey, like nerf balls. The idea is to make it easier for kids to learn tennis.
ANYWAY, I handed Kaitlyn the little racket they sent for her (so cute!) and showed her how to hold it in her right hand. I handed her a ball that she took with her left hand. I was going to have her toss it back to me and then toss it to her to swing at.
Instead, darn it if she didn’t throw that ball in the air with her LEFT HAND and then swing the racket and HIT IT. Like she had been doing it her whole life. I wouldn’t have been surprised to see her lean over and bounce the ball on the floor a few times before her serve.
I’m guessing she’s going to like helping me do the Tennis review

Ha! She might be the next Venus Williams! Sign her up for tennis lessons pronto.
