Looney Tunes Kids Eating Right – Teaching Kids To Make Healthy Choices

It's hard for me to make healthy choices for myself, but surprisingly, two of my three kids eat pretty healthy. Ryan eats baby carrots and apples every day and has since he was a preschooler. Kaitlyn has a tiny appetite and prefers to graze rather than eat big meals, so she asks for half a banana or half an apple or some grapes at least once a day. I thought it would be sheer torture but truthfully, it's not. I get up and make coffee, make sure Nathan takes his pill, then turn on my laptop and start checking email. By the time Kaitlyn wakes up, I can take a work break and focus on her. The only downside is that in order to get a realistic amount of sleep, I've had to put an end to my staying-up-til 2:00 AM habit from the summer. Because I like to read a little before I fall asleep, I have to be in bed at 11:00, 11:30 at the latest. … [Read more...]
