Now kids are learning everything that is happening in their presence. But they do need our attention as they don't know which is right or wrong.

Hi Elizabeth

My two girls aren't teenagers yet they're 5 and 3.5 and to be honest I'm not looking forward to when they are teenagers.

I work from home and have them both 3 days a week, the other 2 days they are at Kindy and Daycare. But when they are sick (thankfully only just colds and the odd virus so far)I just drop everything and tend to them 100%.

I never thought I had that parental instinct in me, but geewhizz it kicked in when they were born. Mums and Dads are different role models to their kids, but there's nothing like getting some TLC from your mother when you're sick!

Regards
Damien

I agree with this. Some of our children don't know what manners is, they just go anywhere without realizing that if they got sick or not feeling well, automatically they go to their parents and asking for help.

Wow...this is so true. I have two teens who sometimes act like they are too old for my mothering (but I know deep down they love it). But when they are sick...I love how they need me...lol! My oldest daughter is away at her first year of college. Her third week there, she came down with a horrible head cold. I felt so helpless not being there to dispense medicine, hand her tissues or brew her tea. But she survived, and I like to think it is because of all the directions and "mothering" I gave her over the phone.
