On the first day of Christmas, my friend Elizabeth from Table for Five gave to me…an opportunity to win a Hana Professional Flat Iron and accessories worth almost $200.00 !! Misikko beauty supply store, with a location outside Philadelphia as well as a popular online store, is spreading the word about the fantastic Hana products they sell, and they generously sent me a Hana Professional Flat Iron to review, and will send one to the winner of this giveaway! The suggested retail price for the Iron itself is $189.99, plus the winner gets a silicone heatproof mat to set the hot iron on, a storage pouch, and a cute tin that holds everything.
I’ve tried several times in the past, very unsuccessfully, to use flat irons on my wavy hair. My hair has always been straight but thick, until after I had Kaitlyn when my hair spent about 3 months falling out and then grew back in wavy. I tried the “natural” look, but the majority of the waves are in the back, leaving me with half-straight, half-wavy hair that doesn’t look good no matter what. My solution was to spend a good 20 minutes staring at the hair straighteners at Target, finally choosing a cheap one because I didn’t think it mattered.
It matters. My cheap flat iron barely gets hot and I have to go over every piece of hair about 5 times to get it anywhere near straight. The Hana Professional has adjustable heat, ceramic plates infused with tourmaline (a crystal that produces negative ions that reduce static), and can even be used on hair that is still damp. I had my husband take some “before” and “after” photos, I hope you can see the difference!
The pictures don’t show how much smoother my hair felt in that After photo, and it stayed straight all day. It only took about 10 minutes to have a “good hair day” all day!

If I won this flat iron I would keep it for myself. Reason is I have the strangest hair ever. It is frizzy, fluffy and half curly. I won’t go anywhere unless my hair has been ironed or if it is pulled back. Mine is about to die I have had it for years. I have been blessed with the hair that won’t do anything unless it has been ironed.
