Sid the Science Kid is a half-hour PBS Kids show produced by Jim Henson Productions (creators of the Muppets). Sid is an inquisitive preschooler who asks basic science questions and then gets help answering them from his teacher, his classmates, and his family. Each episode focuses on a single scientific concept, like what makes water freeze and then melt, or what is in the dirt? Sid and his classmates create charts, take measurements, and observe the natural world around them, in a way that preschoolers understand. There’s also lots of jokes and comedy to make science fun!
