It’s no secret that I’m unorganized, a piler, a clutterer. But it’s not like the crew of Hoarders will be parking 1-800-Got-Junk trucks out front or anything. The surfaces might be piled with stuff, but you can tell there are surfaces underneath. Nevertheless, every once in a while, something disappears and no matter how hard we look, we just can’t find it.
The first thing to go missing was one of Kaitlyn’s shoes. A shoe is not a tiny thing, and yet although we’ve torn the house apart, we just can’t find it anywhere. Then, the case for my Nintendo DS vanished. We’ve looked and looked and looked, it is just gone. And now, this morning, I went to fix a cup of coffee, and the bottle of coffee creamer I bought at the grocery store last night isn’t in the refrigerator. I checked every shelf and drawer, I even checked the freezer because you never know. It’s just gone.
So what is up with that? Where did those things GO? I hate having to buy Kaitlyn another pair of shoes when she has a perfectly good pair except for that whole one is missing thing. And the DS case had a bunch of games in it that would not be cheap to replace. Gah! So frustrating.
What about you? Do things disappear in your house? What’s one thing you’ve lost that you just never were able to find? Tell me!

Things are always disappearing in our house, too and the saddest part is that I am highly organized and clutter free. I hope you are able to find Kaitlyn’s shoe and your Nintendo DS case.

We’ve been missing the VCR/DVD clicker for around a year now. Supremely frustrating when you can’t get to any of the “extras” on a DVD. And I live in a condo, for goodness sakes – where could the thing be???
There’s a similar black hole at my house… it holds the remote for my old television, my DS case with 6 games in it, and my camera. With the exception of the camera that has only been missing for a month or so, the other objects disappeared into the blackhole a year or more ago never to be seen again.

It’s like that at my house, though if anyone ever saw our basement, I’m sure the Hoarders crew would be at my house with the quickness lol! My husband keeps all kinds of crazy stuff.
I always lose my freakin car keys. It’s an everyday event, I spend an hour looking for them, and normally they are in my jacket pocket. You would think I would put them in the same place everyday. No, not me. Why make life eaiser?
Good luck finding your stuff! Hope you find it soon, especially her shoe!

Very funny post! I am as well very unorganized and this loosing things stuff really makes me curious. I lost a few items that I never again found them. It’s like they vanished in the thin air…
For instance, I had a hairdryer and I always put it in a small closet. One day, it’s gone. I searched for it in every corner of my house and I still haven’t found it. And I’m certain that nobody took it. It’s really interesting.

It sounds like you have a poltergeist:) We have been searching for a missing Barbie horse since before Christmas, not a small thing to lose but he has vanished into thin air!

We have DS that is missing. We can’t find it anywhere. When my husband cleans forget it I will never find what I am looking for. I am lucky if he doesn’t throw out my cooking magazines.
Have you checked the car for any of these things? We’re always finding missing things in the car.
Ooh I hope you find all those stuff soon
That Nintendo DS doesn’t come cheap, plus all the games too! I would be frustrated if that happened to me. Good luck hope you find everything!

I lost my lovely jacket last summer. One night I don’t hang it and in the morning i can’t find it…..till.
I really miss my Jacket…… Anyway I hope you find all your lost stuff soon. Thanks….
I recently offered to help my parents clean out their garage. WOW! was all I could say when we opened the door. The task included two truck and trailer loads to the city dump and some new shelving built by mwah. Also found a 76 2 door malibu in their underneath all the rubbish! It took me a good solid week! But I still love them!
When i lose something i look up and hope until I quit . When i quit i find it in places that already I searched
I’ve never experienced events like these… But it sounds really horrable:( Things disappear in my house only in one case – if I forget where I’ve put them!

Many popular science books make reference to black holes. When I picture a black hole, I tend to think of it as a pin-hole in a balloon….I think of this balloon as a universe surrounded by much less dense region. In this way, I think of a black hole like the drain at the bottom of a bathtub, with the matter sucked into it escaping into some other unknown region.
